Something not right?

Description

Peaceful place to camp for a night. There are 10 pitches, each with private concrete ablutions and cooking / washing area with electricity and a plug. Braai outside. Firewood and cold drinks for sale at reception. Attached to the ablutions, each pitch has an area to park under a high tin roof that accommodates rooftop tents. Rather overpriced at N$170 pppn considering the basic nature of the place and its distance from Sesriem. We were the only ones camping here in May - which is a popular time of year to travel in Namibia.

Nice place very quite. There are often oryx.
We paid one night 600$nad for two person.

There is a lot of room between your place and others. You have your own ablutions. The receptionist is very kind and provide several useful info.

All as described. Fine for a night. Good staging point prior to early AM balloon excursion 45 minutes away. Clean and private.
I paid N$410.

Stayed there for two nights while visiting the dunes. It’s is about 40 minutes drive under current roas conditions (some construction along the road). So it is a bit of a drive but not really a problem according to us. The sites at sheltered with roof, so you get shade and cover form rain (it actually rained our first night).

Nice swimming pool area with grass and some sun beds. The owner the really kind and opens the story anytime you want to but some drinks or snacks or any other things.

Maybe a little bit pricy for the location, but still glad we stayed two nights

570NAD for 2 people, 1 night. Lovely couple that runs the place, gave some valuable information about Sossusvlei based on the time we had and activities we wanted to do. Has a little market and very good wifi in the reception, also had beers in the swimming pool.
Very spacious, campsites are not close to each other, has its own ablutions (very clean), kitchen station, braai and a small roof that helps protecting from wind.
Amazing sunset and desert landscape view! It is 30 minutes from Sesriem park entrance to Sossuvslei (open at 7:15) so plan yourself to leave the camping early. I loved it, and guess it’s a good option if you couldn’t book inside Sesriem.

Slept at the overflow campsite for N$150pp. Private ablutions with donkey shower. Have to say: what a spot! Feels like a bush camp in the middle of the desert. Got very windy at night though.

We arrived and they were no spots available, so they showed us to their overflow bushcamp, which was arguably more beautiful! Only R290 for 2 people in the bushcamp. You still had your own ablution and hot showers from a donkey. Watch out for the wind though, it snuck up on us about 11pm and ended up sleeping in the car as the tent nearly blew off haha! Still very beautiful and feels remote.

Such a friendly welcome! The owners really are lovely - they’ve owned this site for two years (having sold their previous farm because of drought) and they have done a good job making the place a great place to stay.

Each site is well kept and looks out across the savannah-like landscape, with its own kitchen area / shower / toilet building.

There’s a chilled little grassy area by the pool and there’s good wifi on the pitches near to the shop. The shop is good - they’ve got butane gas canisters, Namibian plugs, food and all the usual braai stuff (inc Zebra meat!).

We felt very welcome here. 570 for two of us. It’s a good place to stay for those who don’t fancy spending the night in Sesriem before Sossusvlei.

Nice owners, very hospitable and happy to give us tips to explore the area. free wifi, swimming pool and a small shop with some essentials and cold drinks. There are 10 very spacious pitches, all with their own (concrete) facilities and a roof high enough for a rooftop tent. we recommend it!

really nice area with a nice pool and quality camping spots with private facilities. we arrived really late at night, the owners were really welcoming. we paid 570N$ for 2 persons and one car

The campsite has 10 private spots with a roof suitable for rooftop tents, but the spots look old and very uninviting. It is basically some concrete walls. There is an okay pool and you can buy some stuff at the reception. Price is 220 N$ pppn + 50 N$ for internet (which is working good). In our opinion completely overpriced if you look at the status of the campsites.
