This is a really nice park with multiple parking areas and a boat launch. No amenities to speak of, but it is adjacent to the Railway Museum which is worth checking out. The park is on the banks of where the Nechako and Fraser Rivers meet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The one outhouse is pretty nasty, I wouldn’t go #2 in there.
Otherwise spent one night here with no issues. Rode my bike around the trails.

We slept here one night , lot of cars comes and left until quite late at night. We were some VR on the place ! It’s near the beautiful park (with carvings in the trees). 2 minutes from the river with beautiful sunset.
Report Check-InWe just arrived and find this spot lovely. Yes, it is right by the railway museum and a great park with walking trails. I’ve got 3 bars for Bell cellular. It’s quiet. No construction nearby. The previous posts must have been about construction across the road / behind the spruce trees. It’s faint & in the distance. Pretty wood trestle bridge nearby to cross the creek.
Report Check-Invery nice Park, many carvings in the trees, the parking lot is huge, we do not sleep, noise around
Report Check-InNo construction anymore and therefore a good spot for a night. Nice Park and friendly locals.
Report Check-Inno issues parking overnight, but noisy. construction all night long across the street. you have to be a very sound sleeper to not hear the beeping from trucks all night.
Report Check-InA little corner of nature next to the city and industries. Several walkers and runners at the end of the day but no body before 9 in the morning. Some paths to stretch and see the rivers that meet. Some table for the picnic. I had a great quiet night.
Report Check-Ingreat spot, friendly locals. I asked the wardens and they said 24hrs free but they wont do anything after that to move you on unless someone actually complains. Quite good of the city and people to allow this.
Theres a querky older chap that wanders around here twice a day feeding the birds. the guy is harmless and quite informative. Its worth tagging on with him for a walk as he points out all the carvings, have birds eating from your hands (including wood peckers!) and will tell you about all the wild life he spots. Its quite an experience.
Pit toilets, bins, reasonably quiet, any size rig.
See photo of said querky guy.
Beautiful park! It was perfect for a morning walk with our dog. Tables and toilets available. Parking was mostly quiet at night even if sometimes some cars came.
Report Check-InGreat spot! Quiet overnight with limited vehicle traffic. In the AM friendly Chickadees that ate from my hand while we did the loop walk to see all the very cool carvings in the trees
Report Check-Innoisy as mentioned, plus a lot of car traffic all night on the road and in the parking lot. pit toilets, but bring your own TP. nice trails to walk or run along the river. there was a lot just DR of here closer to a mill but much further from road and likely less night cars that I would try if staying another night.
Report Check-InParking lot of Cottonwood Park and Island. Nice surroundings, but noisy during working days (saw mills around) and many mosquitoes, a real deal breaker right now. Pit toilet. Other lots a couple of hundred metres further NW along river.
Report Check-InQuite a beautiful spot to park overnight. Great if you have dogs, lots of trails. But it's still Prince George so there are saw mills in every direction. There are no signs saying you can't park overnight. It was quiet overnight during the week. No toilets. One garbage can. Amazing river view. Thanks to whoever posted this spot!
