Latest Check-Ins

A lot of campers here. There’s security but they don’t trouble anyone. It seems like you can go there often honestly.

Report Check-In

We sleep here for one night. Veery calm! Everything alright.

Report Check-In

Like everyone- a regular parking lot in front of the store. We parked at the far end has good cell service

Report Check-In

This Walmart was a great stopover. There are plenty of other campers but keep in mind it’s a stop over.

Lot time limited to 24hrs. Let’s do our best to respect this so we can keep this spot open.

PS VERY BUSY WALMART with all of the campers that stay here

Camp Walmart, by any other name. Everyone is here! Having come from warmer climates, I didn't realize that the electric posts were for heating engine blocks in the winter - I thought it was power to the campground. I didn't test out whether they were live or not. The night was mostly quiet, except for the occasional show-off on a noisy motorcycle or funny car. The store is huge and clean. After a week on the Dempster, was happy that we were able to fix a flat tire (only $15), stock up on groceries and alcohol and have a safe, flat place to park. Stayed two nights in order to also do car wash, laundry and some top notch medical care.

We got an oil change and went shopping. A little noisy but it was fine.

Possibilité de passer la nuit sur le parking. Beaucoup de rv. Wifi du magasin disponible

Report Check-In

typical Walmart Park away from the front door everything's good

Report Check-In

Nice RV spaces at north end of lot, was not overcrowded this weekend.
We slept well, but ear plugs recommended due to street noise.

Report Check-In

Large Walmart with RV parking spaces with a 24 hour limit on stay I did go inside to buy groceries and asked if anything had changed and was told RVs are all good

Report Check-In

It’s a Walmart. With designated rv parking.

Report Check-In

The WIFI is fast and works from the parking lot over by the Auto Center (on the side near Home Depot, not Lowe’s).
There are long RV spots and there are signs that say RV’s can park 24 hours MAX.

Walmart 24 heures avec garage pour changement d’huile et pneus. Stationné près du garage le Wifi rentre dans votre VR

Report Check-In

All good for a night, quiet between about 11pm-7am. Handy to be able to use facilities 24h (as a non self-contained van). Barnes and Noble nearby is open til 9/10pm and has comfy chairs and a café too.

Report Check-In

Well described by others- RV parking officially allowed for up to 24 hours. Store open 24 hours and this and traffic makes it noisy at times (with ear plugs I still had a good sleep). One thing I did not find to be good at least when I visited was the wifi. If you need faster speeds, I found the McDonald's across the street to be much better.

Report Check-In

Stayed here for the night and even plugged in at the blockheater pillars.
Nobody said anything

Report Check-In

As described. 24h open Walmart. We asked the security lady and she confirmed it's ok to overnight here. We had a good night of sleep. Many RVs and trailers in the parking lot.

Report Check-In

It’s Walmart. No longer allowed to park near tire center. Signs you will be towed (and I asked about parking there). Must park near yellow pillars at far end of lot.

Report Check-In

at my time it was very noisy. also with earplugs I didn't sleep here so much.....

Report Check-In

We enjoyed a quiet night at the Walmart parking lot at Saturday night. The store and the washrooms are open 24 hours, which is perfect with a small camper. It's official allowed to stay 24 hours.

Report Check-In

another quick night here after a day of Fairbanks activities and re-supplies. Wi-Fi was free inside but only worked outside in first few parking spots. Many other RVs here.

Report Check-In

They do have free wifi inside now (and possibly outside if you park close, we didn't) nothing special, but free to stay. not a quiet place though since store is open 24x7.

Report Check-In

Overnight Parking OK for 24h but people are obviously staying longer. No wifi. Noisy.

Report Check-In

Thank you for this tip! It is the fastes WIFI in Alaska :-)
But only at the "Tire" side! Not a good place for sleeping when the delivery trucks are coming..... Stay for the night on the regular parking slot.
