A nice lonely spot directly at the lake side with high bushes and some big trees as wind and sun protection. The place itself is a 10x15m big flat area of cement and earth nearly without trash. Basicly this spot is surrounded by the street, but there are rare traffic at daytime and none at night. The short easy way down from the street is marked with a "dangerous flood plain" sign, but a view to the vegetation or the next dam prove that it is impossible to flood there.(*see comments)!

L’endroit était parfait pour passer une nuit paisible un week-end de Pâques. El Nihuil ne nous paraissait pas le bon plan tellement il y avait du monde avec énormément de quads. En plus la route du canyon de El Atuel est juste splendide
Report Check-InSome warnings about this spot. I saw the water level drop 3 meter in a few hours and rise again. That makes the river banks very muddy and slippery (I slipped and ended hard on my back). When it rained (it does rain in summer too) the whole parking space filled with water in 2 hours. (see picture). I moved 100m further where there's a big nice flat space that always stays dry.
Report Check-Inbeautiful as described, also in winter. The canyon is absolutely fantastic
Report Check-InBeautiful spot near the lake, we stayed here 2 days. Very peaceful, a lot of birds, there is a fire pit and flat area. It’s visible from the road but not a lot of traffic.
