Something not right?

Description

Nice guesthouse in central Medellin. Not a regular "box" hotel, this place is exudes personality and charm. Our van was still enroute from Colon to Cartagena, so we seized the opportunity to stay downtown without having to worry about parking for our van. We paid $40/ night for a suite -- one king bed and two twin beds in separate rooms, plus a private bathroom.

75000 for double with shared bathroom or 90000 for two people in a 'double' with king, twin, private bathroom, and free moto parking

Returning because we loved it so much! Fabulous food right in their restaurant! Great flavors. Love the rooftop patio!

Great guest house with secure parking for our motorcycles. Excellent food in the restaurant. $85k per room. Nice roof top patio. Hot water in the showers.

Pretty amazing place with TONS of character and a great rooftop with views of the city. At night they set up romantic lamps on each table on the roof. Tons of common sitting areas with plush couches and nice furniture. Each room is different since the hotel occupies an old colonial-style building. Parking garage with space for 2 cars and as many motorcycles you can fit into the remaining space (at least 2 more). Free for motos and maybe also cars?

We were offered 75000 for a double with shared bathroom or 90000 for an enormous 'double' with king bed, twin bed, and private bathroom, but I think that the hotel was nearly full and that there are ordinarily cheaper options available.

I showed up at 10pm on a Saturday and everything was closed and locked up with big chains, I did not see a bell to ring. No sign either.

Neighborhood has a lot of homeless

A gem in a very busy city! I would recomment it to everybody! Perfect quiet and very clean rooms, really working fast wi-fi, a garage for your motorcycle and a very friendly staff that goes through extra lengths to make you feel comfortable!
And that for COP30.000,-/night!!

Really nice guesthouse close to the historic centre. Big rooms, fantastic roof terrace. Very good and reasonably priced on-site restaurant. Paid COP 110.000 for a huge triple room with private bathroom and fan, hearty breakfast is 9.000 pp extra.
Secure parking proved to be a big problem because all the parqueaderos close by were closed over New Year. Eventually we found something close to the botanic garden, 1.2 km to the North (see the separate entry).
Be sure to do the self-guided city walk passing this hotel only a few blocks away: https://www.medellincolombia.co/medellin-sightseeing/medellin-walking-tour-map/ — totally worth it, great comments on all the sites, 4-6 hours. Have the receptionist print map and comments for you and off you go!
