Description

now 200 pesos. (23rd April 2019)

A beautiful wineyard on the hills north of Cafayate. Great wines and a lovely, personal tour. We paid 100 pesos pp for a tour and tasting of five wines. If you buy a bottle (which you do, the wines are great), the tasting is free. Road to the wineyard is well marked from the city. It is a gravel road, but easily doable by normal car. Enjoy!

Price update: 50 tour 170 tasting, total 230

Wow, what a beautiful setting for a winery. Cactus, trees, birds and grape vines. An amazing experience to witness someone’s life work.

The wine itself is exceptional.

$86usd for 6 assorted wines.

Well worth the visit.

Tour with tasting now, Premium Ar$600, standard Ar$400. Skip the tour to save Ar$50 on the above. Sadly you no longer get the tasting price discounted from purchases. Shame.

Tasting is now 200 Pesos, still with crackers and tasty cheese and free if you buy afterwards. Wine in my opinion less dry and more sweet/ mild options. Relaxing atmosphere. Yeah, dog friendly! But they have two male dogs so our female was a little bothered / surrounded by them.

Nice vineyard with a nice view, too. I came at 4.15pm and you shouldn’t come later for a tasting. They close around 5pm. The wines were not bad but the white wine I had at lunch at Casa De Empanadas in Cafayate was better than these wines, in my opinion. I have to admit that I am not a winey man, though. This was my first wine tasting (I only had the tasting). I recommend it, anyways. It costs 200ARS now but you can redeem this into wine. I bought the cheapest bottle of the wines I liked for 215ARS.

Out of the six wineries we visited near Cafayate (three in town three outside), this was the best. The tasting was 180 for five wines (VERY generous pours), and this is discounted if you buy a wine (which start at 190). We took about 1.5 hours to do our tasting, because they pour each one and then leave you for a while, and you can sit outside and enjoy your wine at your own pace. They don't rush you or stand over your shoulder. This family also owns the Hermanos bodega in town, but the wines you try here are different because they are grown on the mountain and so technically "at altura", so the flavors are more concentrated. The best tasting experience we had. Plus they give you delicious goat cheese (included) which is also made by the family (you can buy it in the bodega in town). Perfect relaxing afternoon.

this was a really lovely stop. we were on our motorbikes as it is 6 kms from town, out a very easy to drive dirt road. tasting happens while sitting outside, under pergola, enjoying the view of the whole valley. we shared a tasting, and the price of it was applied to the bottles we bought to enjoy after we parked our motos for the night! 😁 Highly recommend this lovely place with beautiful wines.

Tasting now 130 p.P. 5 wines (your choice) price between 170 - 310 P per bottle, we got a promocion 2 bottles for 270. Very nice athmosphere in the garden with cheese and breadsticks.

We were here on a Tuesday because they were closed the Sunday and Monday prior this particular week so we thought we'd try our luck and were assured that even though the sign out front says different, they are normally open on Tuesdays too. Still 5 tastings for $100, served with cheese, and this price is deducted from your purchase price if you decide to take a bottle or two with you. We were heading out of town, and they had no problem with us paying for one tasting and sharing it between the two of us as we had to drive. The setting is lovely, wines are brought out to the garden for tasting, and it is definitely worth the short drive out of town!

Really nice vinyard indeed. We showed up without reservation but this was no issue and we were received very friendly. You can choose 5 wines from about 15 for a tasting, which came with some breadsticks and tasty goat cheese.

Note that this place is closed on Tuesdays, on Mondays (if I remember correctly) open from 10 to 13, and the other days from 10 to 17.
