we arrived at Sunday evening. there were a lot of motorcycles and local people for the sundown. originally, we want to sleep near the museum but decided to go to the end of the parking space. After sundown, we were alone and had a quiet night.

you can park in this car park to go see station 2 and spend the night, it’s a little sloping. We spent a quiet night. at station 2 of the carril cable you can visit the cable car station which was used to bring back the ore loaded with gold from the la mexicana mine located at an altitude of 4500 m. free and the guides are nice.

vous pouvez stationner sur ce parking pour aller voir la station 2 et passer la nuit, c’est un peu en pente. avons passé une nuit tranquille. à la station 2 du câble carril vous pourrez visiter la station du téléphérique qui servait à ramener le minerai chargé en or depuis la mine la mexicana située à 4500 m d’altitude. gratuit et les guides sont sympas.

Nice place, we came here 2 nights cause we liked it more than the city, which is full of motorbikes. The lower part of the parking lot has a light inclination and it might be difficult to park leveled. The “uphill” part of the parking lot is flatter, bigger and has better view but is intended only for “ambulances, services and disabled people”. In any case, many local people park there to hang out during the day and weekend nights (that increases the chances of having a noisy night). Good Claro signal, no Movistar.

Excellent parking lot for motorhomes. Very quiet at night (offseason). Free.

Nice big parking lot. But there was a lot of traffic with young people coming up here for the mirador. Fortunately no loud music, just car doors, some talking/laughing, and loud mufflers. But after 2am, we had a peaceful night. Would recommend going further up the road to the yellow river.

A quiet Spot for a Night, enough room for big rigs. Nice view also.

This is the car park of Station 2 of the cable car accessed via a sealed road Av Cablecarril, which comes direct from station 1 in the centre of town. Well worth a visit.

Quiet spot close to the city. We felt a little unsafe in the city center, but this place was perfect for one night.

On the parkinglot of Estacion 2, the old cablecar. Muesum next to the place. Very quiet, during the day only a few visitors, nice view over the city. No infrastructor.
