Something not right?

Description

$ 50/night - 2 people/no pets - full hook ups - no taxes
$ 300/week
When we arrived, a sign at the gate said "Reservation required".
We drove in without a reservation and got a place.
You need to check in before 6PM (Nov 1 - Feb 28) respectively 8PM (Mar 1 - Oct 31).

I saw a tent bit just realized, that it is behind the fence of the RV parking on the fairgrounds. Not sure, if they accept tents.

We’re with a biking group that’s here for 4 days. $60 ish a night for power & water only (full hookups are more).

As someone said, this is just a parking lot with hookups. There is one toilet and one shower stall each for men & women, so they’re really catering to bigger rigs.

It backs up to a golf course, but is right under the flight path for departures from the airport , so you’ll have jets overhead until 10 at night,and starting up again at 5:30 am.

Weirdly, in the spot right next to us, there’s a permanent resident who is running some kind of a rehab center for injured raptors. So all day ,we hear screeching from these birds that are tethered to their outdoor stands, 10 feet from us. They did put them indoors for the night, so it was OK sleeping.

The chief virtue of this place is good proximity by cycle, and to a lesser extent, on foot to downtown Monterey.

Didn’t stay but the motel 6 was about $55 on a weekday in April. Not sure about RV parking there but our van fits just fine in their parking lot AND they’re dog friendly! Lots of cameras on premises for peace of mind

It is $70 a night and $420 per week now. To me it just looks like a tightly packed gated parking lot. Not sure it is worth it. But I see plenty RVs there. Decided to go for something else.

Excellent camping area. The lady manager is extremely gentle and helpful. Hook-up full. Clean bathrooms and in great quality. It was a spectacular experience staying one night in this place.
