Description

Ver quiet place to stay for a night, free wifi (chilegob) fast.
We stayed in front of the fire station but nearby there is the bus station with restroom and cold shower (Closed for the night). Also a library on the corner
Carabineros recommend to camp with our motos in the bus station. The refuge has large open shelter, can also park motos underneath. Bathrooms available, but they shut off the lights and power around 730pm. Great spot and nobody around. 30 min internet -chilegob.

2 cyclists cowboyed here, good wind protection and completely allowed. No more bathrooms or water it seems.

The border/ aduanas bathrooms were open even when they were closed. Go there for water to drink from the sink and other needs. Internet was not working when we were there.

Report Check-In

We spent one night here before we crossed the border. The town is very nice and quite with really friendly people. We parked on the side of the road in front of the library with no issues. The library was nice enough to let us use the bathroom because the bus stations bathrooms are closed. Not bad for a night.

A cidade não tem posto de gasolina, não tem wi-fi e não tem sinal de telefone para a operadora, claro e não achamos ponto de água

Report Check-In

Toilets and waiting room are closed but we could put our tent at the back. It's protected from the wind and clean. No water and no wifi though.

Report Check-In

spent there 2 nights. local police approved it is okay to sleep there. windprotection and could be warm from the walls in cold times. bath was closed, but there is a tap for water outside at the back of the building. cheaper to sleep here and go by bus to torres del paine then take an overpriced accomodation somewhere else

Report Check-In

From my opinion the only spot to camp for free in the city, behind bus station, protected from the wind.
We were 3 clyclist
Toilet were closed, no water, but do the job

Report Check-In

Nice for one night, but no water, no toilet. We arrived at 7pm and it was closed.
Quiet place

Report Check-In

We arrived around 7pm and the bathrooms were already closed. In the morning (around 10am) the bathrooms were still closed and no one around. The internet was not working either.

I spend the night here, wind was okay. I parked behind the bus building. but there was no free wi-fi anywhere in the area. also the toilets were closed when I arrived around 5 and no water tap accessible

Report Check-In

We didn't spend the night there, but good place to do so, protected from the wind. You can use the toilets, but the showers are broken and when we wanted to fill our bottles, the water was brownish/yellowish... Good wifi signal from chile.gob here. There's one socket in the toilets if you need to charge.

Es un buen lugar para pasar la noche, cubierto del viento y la lluvia, hay agua accesible, el baño estaba cerrado y el internet no funcionó, sin embargo, es un buen lugar y tranquilo.

Good shelter for the wind. Set up tent at the back of bus station building. There were wifi but no connection when I was there. Water tab behind the building. Only men toilet open, and it was so dirty. The waiting room area with sofa was locked. At 930pm, one woman came and turn on the light of this building but don't worry, no light behind the building.

Great spot time spend a night before heading into Torres del Paine. Happened to be quite a few of us here spending the night. Hitchhikers tenting in grassy area, overlanders parked on the road in front, wife and I (cyclists) took advantage of the cosy waiting area and slept inside with the comfort of the cosy wood stove. Very clean and there was wood for us to use there.

World class bikeshacking, amazing place to stay for free. The waiting room is super comfortable, I slept inside and no-one else turned up. Toilets were open all night. WiFi was fast, you just need to login again every 30 minutes. One thing to note for cyclists going towards Argentina is that the most direct road from here to the border actually comes out PAST Chilean immigration (and no signs) so it would be very easy to get over the pass into Argentina without an exit stamp and have to turn back, a few people I met had this problem, it's a bit silly.

Still has the fastest wi-fi in the area but no longer has showers

Ok to park for the night with a motorhome on the rodeo field car park by the bus station despite the Small sign No acampar. Good Free gob wifi.

Quiet place to stay overnight. Free Wifi (Zona Chile Gob). Toilets open all night, but showers out of service. Little tap outside, at the back of the building.

it's heaven for bikepackers, water, wifi and protection for the wind

(Fast) WIFI still the same. Toilets are o.k., not very clean (Women without running water on the tab). Toilets are closed for the night.
The place is perfect for one night, seems very quit.

Report Check-In

Toilets not open on a Saturday morning.
But easy to use the ones in the café at the entrance of the city (more like a souvenir shop). But aswell, as mentioned, no water.
Also toilets at the border office available.

The best place ever, if you going to/back to Torres del Paine! nice place just side of the village bus station, toilets open 24h, free city wifi, and at the station, there is a waiting room, with 2 nice sofas and a tv, and a wood burning heater, that you can use as long as you want! And people there is amazing! I spent 2 nights here after going to the park, and it's just at the border to Argentina, to El Calafate ore ruta 40. If you have courage, there is cold shower also for free! hahahah
Nice place to rest, reed a book, and chill out

Hello
Really nice place to stop with your motorhome before or after the national parc.
You have water for the thank (behind the bis station).
Water closed, cold shower and free wifi for 30mn each time (but you can reconnected as much as you want).
Quiet place and game for children on the street.
People really nice.

camped for free at the bus station. there was even a wooden wind breaker for the tents! toilets, cold showers and internet across the street - amazing

Stayed two nights in front of the museum over the weekend while waiting for the weather to improve. Probably our best urban wild camp ever — quiet and clean with bathrooms and cold showers across the street at the bus station. Free chilegob WiFi was pretty fast, even if you did have to reconnect every 30 minutes.
