Elands Bay Hotel | Established Campground

Clean grassy stands just to the side of the hotel, overlooking the municipal campsite. Lovely sea views and 1 minute walk onto the beach. Five stands with braai stands and plug points. Shared, clean ablutions. Whole place shielded from the street but not cordened off. Don't think they have any issues though.
Paid R360 for 2 adults and one child.

320 rand for two of us in a tent, use of wifi is 20 rand more for 500mbs. We were the only ones there during our stay, the whole place felt a little deserted! Very quiet and peaceful though. You’re camping around the back of the building but it’s accessible to anyone from the street - we asked if it was safe to leave our things there when we went to the beach etc and they said they’d never had any issues.

This camping facility with 5 sites next to the hotel is ok, but at R290 a bit pricy for what is on offer (and no discount for eg pensioners)
+ friendly welcome
+ nice grass with some shade
+ braai stands
+ power at each site … but only one water point
sites are nicely separated by a kind of canvas … but they are small
theoretically nice view … if it is not the spot with the rubbish dump in front
ablutions are ok … but not enough it the camping is full
max two sites are suitable for big rigs

Nice camping place with a beutiful beach & ocean landscape due to its higher posición over municipal campsite, just in front. Six camping pitchs with electricity and one of them with good shadow. Common locked toilets clean and in good condition. Price in low season: 290 Rand for 2 People. Free voucher for 250gb WIFI. You have to pay a deposit of 100 rands for toilet key.

The hotel does offer rooms and there is also a dorms of 4 bunk beds available.
I stayed in the dorm for only 210 Rand breakfast included.
The hotel is located just next to the beach and does have a nice in - and outdoor restaurant with great food.
Wifi in the Lobby from the hotel. Great place to stay and enjoy the Atlantic Ocean.

Enjoy the reasonably priced milkshakes and massive burgers overlooking the bay at the Elands Bay Hotel! Good value for quality food. Didnt camp as we visited for the day, but if we were we would definitively choose here over the Municipal campsite. The green grass for starters! Ideal campsite for 1 or 2 nights.

Completely overpriced camping if you are alone and not negotiable. But they have 4 bed dorms for 200r and I was alone.

Five small places, not all with shade. Nice view. Shared Ablutions for men and ladies together. Ablutions are ok but not more. Electricity and braai at every place, one sink for washing, bins. Too expensive we think, 250R per site.

Shady trees and lawn on a terrace overlooking the beach. Has a braai and electricity. Ablutions are spotless.
