Just a clarification. there is an entrance fee of 15quetzals per person (no matter adult or kid, everyone pays). If you want to park and sleep in your camper/van another 15per person. And to visit the caves 30per person.
Open from 8-5pm
We arrived late, it was raining and all muddy, still we managed to enter (use your horn and security will come eventually)
And after paying, (120qz for the night, (2 adults + 2 kids) he let us in and showed us where to park, near a large dinning room.
There is WC and a nice trail to some
Small cave, a possibility to pay extra and do zip line / canoe.
the cave tour costs 30pp and they provide boots, helmet and lamp, be aware: one must climb through the river upstream, in our case, it had been raining a week, and a lot of water was flowing, but we managed to take the kids too.
Luckily we used our wetsuits, so no matter water covered them to their chest. It was 45 min tour, but the guide was very patient and showed us a little further than the sanctuary.
There is a longer tour that goes even further (3hours) one can do only when there is good weather, in Easter usually.
