Chile
wonderful campsite at an elderly chilean couple's home. possibility to rent a cabin or to set up your tent/park your van in the vast green area. toilets and bathroom (with hot water) are spotless clean. there are two shelters were you can place your tent under if it is raining. there are sheep, cows, alpacas, chicken, a dog and a horse. there is a trail leading up to the hill with spectacular views of the cerro castillo. the family serves breakfast and dinner, all organic and homemade: grown in their garden or sheep raised and slaughtered by themselves. having grown up here, rosa and her husband know the area from the times before the carretera austral was built, when transportation was only possible by foot or horse. a wonderful patagonian experience to stay here! Electric only from Solar. Wifi available
10000pp (April 2024)

we stay hear for one night, because unfortunately Patagonia Overlanding was close during off-season.
it's a nice Campground, but quite expensive, 10.000 p.P. during off_season.
Electric only from Solar, not available for Motorhomes. Wifi Average
Great place with nice common area for cooking. We paid 8000 CHP pP for a tent.
Report Check-InA lot of space, very nice lady. Clean bathroom and good wifi near the house. There was a little bit noise in the evening and in the morning from the cows of the owner.
Report Check-In10,000 pp tent site. We were able to set up our tent inside the wind shelter. Showers were very hot, but it was hard to control the temperature (either boiling or and freezing cold). No soap or hand sanitizer in the men's bathroom, which is kind of gross. Drinking water available, and there are nice dishwashing and laundry sinks. The Refugio seemed to be closed. We don't speak Spanish, and the owner was friendly and patient while showing us around.
Report Check-InBeautiful location. Two wind shelters for tents. Large cabana available also )family size), with parking space for rigs. Clean hot showers and a kitchen available. No power or wifi
Report Check-InClean and large campsite but rather basic. The shelters are well against the rain but with two bikes the space becomes very limited. Be careful the floor is concrete not possible to pitch the tent.
No access to the comedor, it's a shame when it rains so no electricity to recharge the devices
we where there. but the gate was closed. seemed like no one was there, only a dog.
the place looked nice.
fantastic place and very friendly hosts. We paid 8.000 clp pp/n. and would definitely recommend to stay here. Lots of space, hot shower, lovely dog (border collie).
Report Check-InPerfect camping after a long day of hiking. Really friendly people. Nice hot shower. Everything is really clean. Shelter from the wind is a big plus!!
Report Check-InGreat place to spend the night, with sheltered areas and picnic tables. Hot showers, and bathroom were clean. 8.000 CLP per pp per night
Report Check-InGreat campsite to stay near Villa Cerro. We went there after hiking and enjoyed a very hot shower in a spotless bathroom! The owners are indeed very nice. They have sheltered places with a table (perfect when is raining or windy, or both!). The common room seems good but was close and they are not selling meals at the moment (covid?). Easily accessible without 4WD, plenty of grass to pitch a tent. They have two friendly dogs, sheeps and alpacas.
Report Check-InNice campground with big shelters and 1 cabaña. It has a Fogon comun and a sendero with spectacular view. 18.000clp for un sitio and 4 Persons.
Report Check-InSuper nice place. Hottest shower i had in 6 months of traveling. Perfect shelters. Lots of animals and lovely owners. Such sweethearts. Highly recommended.
Report Check-InReally really cute place. We got here kind of late after hiking mirador laguna cerro castillo, so they did not have any of the covered shelters left for setting up our tent under, but the owner offered to let us set up/sleep in the little cooking area, but we declined and just set up outside. It was pretty windy with no shelter but still a great spot. Kitchen/communal area that she locks up at 11 and re opens in the morning with a little fire place you can make a fire in!! 5000 clp pp, and she offers breakfast for a price as well (we didn’t get it). They have a bunch of farm areas. Recommend!
Report Check-Inwe can't understand the last comment. the place is beautiful (see comments below, we would just repeat what others said). The showers were so hot that it was more difficult to find the right temperature. The owners were so caring (so if something is not working as expected it might help to ask them friendly).it is next to the road but there is no traffic at all on the road (not noisy).
we placed our tent under a newly build shelter and were protected against the rain.
we highly recommend this place. the owners are super friendly. we checked several campgrounds in Cerro Castillo and this place is by far the nicest one.
Report Check-InCold shower, absolutely no hot water, can not recommend. Right on the road so noisy, would rather wild camp...
Report Check-InReally good shower, place is beautiful and owners are very friendly. Payed 6000 clp for a refugio where i placed my tent inside and 8000 clp for dinner. A litlle pricey but worth it, you pay the same for bad food in cities around.
Report Check-InVery friendly place clean and quite Eleuterio and Rosa are very nice. The trail to the hill is a must is just one hour but the views are amazing. Excellenet home made bread sold by Rosa.
Report Check-InExcellent place to stay! Very clean and beautiful campground. Rosita and Eleuterio are the best! Highly recommended!
Report Check-InYou can also have a dinner for 7.000.
Bring your own toilet paper, it's not a hotel ☺☺ New shelters, excellent!
Rosa is a delightful host. Clean bathrooms and wonderful tent spots with the ability to make a campfire. Picnic tables at each site. 6,000 CLP per person for camping. There is a cabin that sleeps 6 for 60,000 CLP. Hot water but ran out quickly. Two dogs, sheep and a few alpacas roam. No communal kitchen and no WiFi. Water available.
Report Check-InThis place is worth stopping! Lovely campground and the owners welcomed us with the biggest smile. Every site has a firepit and a table with chairs. They also provide firewood. Hot showers, bathrooms spotless, sink for washing dishes and doing laundry. Great place to calm down for a day! Electricity until 10pm. Sometimes the gate is closed but you can just walk in.
