Latest Check-Ins

What a perfect stopover to camp at to see the SALT telescope and Jurgens stargazing experience is an absolute must . Paid R200 per person camping and R120 each for the stargazing . Highly recommended and Jurgen and his wife are wonderful

Report Check-In

Camping along a road is not what we are looking for. No charm but each site get it’s own privacy with leafy hedge. R200 pppn.

Report Check-In

Extremely neat and tidy campsite. First time in a long time that no levelling block was necessary for the caravan. The owners keep their fingers on the buttons. They are very helpful regarding local info. It was freezing cold, but Jurg warned us beforehand. Being no experts, the stargazing tour was very good.

Report Check-In

A very neat and comfortable camp site. The owners have done so much work here and added some really cool details, such as the labyrinth and lover’s walk. The stargazing with Jurg was awesome and informative. (Dress warmly!)

Neat, clean & well kept camp. First 9 stands with mains outlets. Star gazing on site.

Report Check-In

Nice campsites with braai and electricity. Ablutions are good, but if the place is stacked it could get a little difficult. But they are planning to build a second one.
The stargazing tour is amazing!

Report Check-In

Spacious spots between trees. Close to the road so some noise in the morning. Very clean ablutions. Electricity points on each spot. Not allowed to fill up water tanks. Driving distance to town.

Report Check-In

As of March 2019, price is R130. There is hot water, WiFi, a washing room with a basin but no kitchen.
Jurg is very helpful. I attended his stargazing session (R130 per person) and it was amazing. He has a theatre room for lectures and several telescopes (see attached picture).

Small little campground right on hiway outside of town. Road quiet at night but sheep noisy till midnight 🤭paid ZAR260 for 2. Star gazing show was ok but not necessarily worth the ZAR170pp on a Sunday night.

Report Check-In

This place is good for a Stopover between Kgalagadi Transfrontierpark and the Coast. It is close to the road, so no detour but noisy at night. Nice spacious Campsites with Braaifacilities. Clean ablutions and friendly staff. Unfortunately the owner was out of town. He offers star gazing sessions which are supposed to be amazing.
