This spot is just before the Established Campground and has the same amazing view in front of the lake and is protected from the wind by trees. It also has rubbish bins (though it seems these are not regularly emptied; we recommend packing your trash out with you). Beautiful beach for yoga or swimming. Very nice, we loved it!

Report Check-InReally nice place, easy to access by driving aprox 10 km on well maintained ripio. Tranquil and quiet at night. Crystal clear water. Excellent for Starlink if you are camping on the beach.
Watch out the sand not compacted in some areas. Even helped a local in a 4x4 get unstuck.
Saw a few people fishing. A local confirmed that fishing is allowed year-round, no permit required.
The wind seems to come from inland, so camping on the beach provides good wind protection.
Locals come here to relax but all leave around sunset. No loud music or any disturbances.
When entering the ripio, there are signs prohibiting fires in the area. So it is best to avoid making a fire.

It’s the first road on the right side on the road when you are all down the off road.
By the way, the off road is not too bad.
Way much better than some part of the Carretera Austral 😅

super nice spot on the beach. well protected u bushes and trees. good Movistar signed and easy access on a not to dirty path. the main road to access to Bahia Jara is work is in progress now,it will be finish soon.

Report Check-InBeautiful spot! Some locals were there, but were very friendly. There is some shelter from the trees when it's windy. Sunrise was really beautiful! Definitely recommend going here when you need to cross the border the day after!

Report Check-InFantastic spot, we loved it. Tons of little hidden spots amongst the bushes near the beach, space for any number of rigs, big or small. Can get a little windy but you have some protection from the bushes and trees. Lake access, a very nice beach for swimming or yoga!
There is a decent amount of trash (typical of any place where locals regularly visit) but not horrible. Watch out for broken glass.
This is an amazing place to spend a few days, very close to Chile Chico.

Report Check-InNice place at beach. You can find a wind protection for tent or van, but definitely not for roof tent. Entel and Movistar mobile signal. Nice sunrise. Accessible for all types of vehicles.

Report Check-InBeautiful place to stay! When there are no clouds you see all the mountains around. Behind bushes, almost no wind. Families were swimming, after 9 we were to only ones left. We camped with 2wd, access was easy. Some rubbish, please do not use the garbage cans as the animals eat from it at night and the winds blows it away. Take your trash with you!

We stayed for 4 nights, even on the weekend only 2 families came for few hours.
Fairly sheltered from the wind behind the bushes, enough to have a good fire to cook the fish we cought.
No fresh running river tho, we boiled the water from the lake just in case, but is very clean.
