Parked at the Walmart for 3 days (too much) in winter, the RV campgrounds are all knee high under snow. We were fine, but no facilities (obviously), including no wifi. Our friend, a Heber City resident, said that the Chase Bank (near the Walmart) also allows overnight stays for self-contained rigs.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Honestly, we thought this would be the average Walmart parking lot, but I think we just got unlucky. For some reason, it was very busy and loud here on a Monday night. A street sweeper came by for an hour at midnight, people were hanging out in the lot, and many cars revving their engines. If you're a heavy sleeper and fam asleep fast, you should be good. I struggled to fall asleep. A bit tricky to find a perfectly level spot in the back, but not to bad. Worked for one night.
Report Check-Instayed 1 night on a Saturday night. don't know if it was April fools or its its just utah (as a Utah resident I feel like it's just utah) but there were a bunch of annoying redneck teenagers racing diesel and turbo vehicles around until about 11:00. Never will understand the appeal of this behavior but after a certain point it died down and it was fine. otherwise it's a fine Walmart lot to camp in
Report Check-InNice safe place to stay for the night near Park city in the winter. Did not have any problems parking in the back of the lot and there were several other cars parked here. Not sure if they were camping or just left overnight. Had decent cell service on AT&T and it was relatively quiet after about 11 PM.
Report Check-InStayed here for one night. A half dozen other rigs as well. No problems :)
Report Check-InVery busy WalMart. No covered parking. Lots of other businesses nearby with big parking lots.
Report Check-InStayed here for one night, confirmed with staff in store that was fan. A few other rigs also parked here.
