The location in the photos is no longer available. There is no parking along the park or near the overlook. As someone else stated, you can turn right and park along that street. Fairly quiet night punctuated by bursts of dogs barking.

quiet place, for medium cars, if it is a large motorhome there is a street next to it, with police nearby 24 hours a day, we had a very quiet night.

lugar tranquilo, para carros médio, se for motorhome grande tem uma rua ao lado ,com polícia nas proximidades 24hs, tivemos uma noite bem tranquila.

Place is open, good and safe spot to spend the night. There was one other overlander with us. Make sure you leave enough space for the street vendors. Might be the best to park where the street turns right and the sand / gravel part begins

mirador de Barranca, en el lugar queda un parque, se puede estacionar al lado de la vía, tiene vigilancia de serenasgo permanente y camara de seguridad, es tranquilo pero concurrido por la tarde y por la noche. No tiene ningún servicio sanitario básico

Yes you can stay here secure over night. But it's not so quiet as reported. until 12:00 p.m. you will have a lot of tuck tucks with a lot of couples. Some are quiet and in love some make loud music.

Nice place with a pretty view on a top of a hill, good neighborhood, some people around, security cameras and lot of police rounds. felt safe and quiet. Thanks for sharing. We spend a night and a morning here.. Enjoy!

Great spot and safe. In the night only the waves, no music etc. In the evening a lot of young couples, seems to be a very romantic place. Completely paved and level.

Spent a quiet peaceful Sunday night with only crashing surf. Playa down below was relatively busy on a Sunday. School across from parking area had children being dropped off at 7:30am on Monday morning. However on Monday there was no one on Chorrillo Beach and when we walked out of Restaurant Tato on Playa at 2 pm and started walking back north to climb up to Alto, restaurant owner was so concerned about our safety, he went after us, stopped us and sent his son along to see us safe back to staircase. Evidently on non-busy weekdays, north end of Playa is very dangerous and subject to armed robberies.

Stayed there for one night in our van and all the day before.
We didn't see cops but the security cameras are there and the area felt safe.

Had a very quiet night in the parking area overlooking the beach. Only the sound of waves and the occasional passersby. Police did a drive by check at one point and the whole area is very well lit at night. No services but any size rig will fit.

Very good place ! It was friday and we had a super quiet night. Policemen came in the evening to say hello and told us that they patrol all night long. A neighbour also came by and said that if we needed anything we could go and see him ! Great view during sunset : parking lot is overlooking the ocean. According to us, better place than down at the beach.
