Description

Incredible nearly deserted beach past the town of La Mancha, boondocking only. Also check out the bioluminescent plankton at night in the lagoon! There are about 5-6 delicious seafood shacks located on the beach as well, very friendly people.

Bring sure to bring plenty of repellent as the sand flies here can be vicious without it.

Also you can take hot showers up the road at Campamento el Mangal for $10pesos, the best bathroom experience we have had in Mexico thus far!

There is also a propane station about 10 minutes south of here off the highway.

You can no longer get to this spot because of a gate / road block put up by the restaurants to keep people from driving on the beach. However you can camp in the first parking lot along side the lagoon. We spend a quiet night here and enjoyed it. Didn’t see any bioluminescent though. Free

Nice grassy are to camp. 30 peso per person per night. All restaurants closed at this time of year. No water available apart from showers. No electric either. Toilets cleanish, showers are outdoor cold post beach showers.

super quiet beach. Beach is a turtle nesting area.
Showers are beach showers that worked well for us. there are changing facilities, which we did not use. The ladies toilets where locked at night. The restaurant was closed as it is out of season. Nice grass area for our car and RTT. No power available at the camp area. we did use some from the office though.
Great beach. ok waves although a fair current running and a few rips. Lagoon was good for chilling. About a 2km walk to an eco restaurant and a further km to the village.

Great camping spot on grass and sand. Dark sand beach, nearly deserted. To find drive up driveway and keep left of the ecological centre. Restaurant is currently closed, we believe for the season. Turtles nest at this beach so take care. The weather allowed us to test all aspects of the RTT, which stood up well to the rain and Thunder storms.

Grassy area behind beach restaurant. Owner asks 25 pesos p/p, access to flush, clean toilets and outdoor showers. Busy on weekend, only ones here on weekdays. Beautiful beach for swimming and lagoon for swimming without waves.
