Democratic Republic of the Congo
We initially planned to stay at the Catholic mission but ended up checking out other places in town due to bad reviews. We found this small, lovely hotel with secure parking where you can sleep, run by George, a Dutch man who has lived in the DRC for 18 years. We payed 5$/night. George is fascinated by people traveling across Africa. The hotel is quiet, has a pool, and the 8 rooms cost between $150 and $180 including breakfast, pool, A/C. There’s also a good restaurant with reasonable prices. We enjoyed an evening listening to George's amazing stories about the DRC. Highly recommended if you're in Muanda.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
