A verge directly next to the road. Just big enough for one large vehicle, and levelled. Near the river and in a quiet area of town. Not hidden and close to traffic, so far from ideal but we were out of options. Arrived late night and there were no suitable places around this area. Few vehicles passed but otherwise quiet night.

Stayed 1 night after coming back from Manu National Park. Still the best spot we could find on reasonable altitude. It is close to the local market with public toilets, trash bins and you can buy delicious fresh fruit, bread and sandwiches.
Paucartambo itself is terrible to drive through with a large vehicle, the streets are too narrow to pass eachother and drivers are reckless and impatient. But it’s the perfect place to start and end your Manu jungle adventure.
