Report Check-In

Stayed there for one night. At the beach front, so it has a great view! Wi-fi was not so great, some times wasnt working. The toilet and showers need some work... the toilet got cleaned in the morning, but was a mess right after that. The shower's were very dirt and the walls even seemed sticky (also Wouldn’t touch the sink). The water is not potable.
Good location, though.

Report Check-In

Campsite near the beach.
Showers and toilets are not off high quality but do the job.
Local guy, Andres, who works there can arrange activities and will show you around.

Report Check-In

Dirty campsite - lots of rubbish at entrance (toilet/sink/tyres etc!). Toilets and shower were working - okish but not that nice with bad smells. Wouldn’t touch the sink, electrics were also very dodgy!! Location is great - right next to beach. Cost 5$ pp. Good to have security next door - felt safe.

Report Check-In

Beautiful beachfront campsite, but right next to public beach access so lots of other people around during the day, quiet at night but very windy when we were there, some abandoned tents that look like locals who live at the campsite. Bathrooms and showers were pretty good, but water was not potable. Short walk to surf spots north to Santa Teresa and south to Malpais, also into main road of town. 5000 colones per person per night.

Report Check-In

DO NOT STAY HERE if you want to sleep. There's a nightclub abou 50 feet from the campsite and they are still blasting music at 1030pm on a Sunday with no end in sight.

On the positive side, the showers (3) are fairly clean and the toilets (3) are also in good working order.

Costs 5,000 colones per adult and 3,000 for children under 8.

Very close to the beach so it's a lovely spot with lots of trees

Report Check-In

nice beach but the facilities are a bit dodgy....

Report Check-In

Camping situé au bord de plage, très joli mais très mal entretenu... Coupure d'électricité et d'eau. WC et douches sales.... Nous avons fuite le camping après 1 nuit, 5'000 colones pp. wifi sur place.

Report Check-In

Stayed at Sunset camping - 5000 colones per person, parked right along the beach and stayed in the van, beautiful beach front site! Security guard next room at private house, close to where we parked, felt safe! Plenty of other tents pitched on the camp ground! Toilets and showers available byo toilet paper. Gabriel is the manager, very friendly and pleasant man, wifi available if you ask Gabriel! He and his wife cooked us a delicious breakfast for 3000 per person! Would highly recommend this spot!!

Report Check-In

Very nice, beach front parking 3.000 colones p/p I park my 24 ft Motorhome and I Think that is the limit size for this place.

Report Check-In

Great location on the beach. We chose to camp here because it had a better vibe than the other campground, in our option. It is family owned/operated by locals that have lived in the area for ages. The campsite has been there since the 70s, owned by the same family.

Carlos, the manager & cousin of the owner is super welcoming and friendly. He has a good handle on the place and knows everyone there and who is coming and going. Makes you feel a bit safer here, that being said, he warned us not to leave electronics or valuables out, as you wouldn’t anywhere anyways.

Showers are smelly - musty - but all in all we didn’t mind our stay here despite the fact that Santa Teresa is not our fav spot and wouldn’t return (super dusty roads, tons of traffic)

Report Check-In

nice place with beach access.4000 C with power water and wifi

Report Check-In

Stayed one night. 4000 colons.
Very nice and wide site. Trees shade, clean bathroom, and nice family. Right on the beach. Not closed by a fence or anything so don't leave stuff outside the car. Feels safe though.

Report Check-In

By far the best place to camp in the area. Access to good surf, electricity, showers, bathrooms and wifi. These people are much friendlier than the other option in town.

Report Check-In

FYI no longer allow parking close to the beach, you now have to stay in the parking area set back pretty far from the beach. Great tent area on the beach!

Report Check-In

Amazing place right on the beach. Showers and toilets are clean. We were able to stay in the parking lot with our truck camper behind all the tents. Perfect location for playa Carmen. WiFi worked on and off.

Report Check-In

We were quoted 3500($7) per person to stay here with Wi-Fi, toilets, electricity. There is plenty of space for vehicles and it's suitable for vans, RV, roof top tent etc. in the dry season its pretty dusty and sparse here. We decided not to stay as instead went to Elimar camping a few km down the beach, which is a much nicer campsite but lacks access to the good surf beaches .

Report Check-In

Big campground right on the beach with lots of trees. Only for tents, but u can park the car right in Front of the camping area. 7$ pp. No Wi-Fi but decent facilities.
