Typical National Forest picnic area with 2- 200 x 300 sq.ft. paved parking lots, picnic tables, vault toilets, Iron Ranger ($12/night; half that with NPS pass). No campsites. Good for vans and small RVs; trailers and large rigs will have trouble turning around.

We arrived after sunset, we were alone and didn’t feel safe. It’s very close to the road and no cell service so we left.
Report Check-InTwo weeks ago this site was relatively clean, a nice place to stop for lunch. Now 2 of the 4 bathrooms are locked, one is filthy and the 4th barely tolerable. It did have TP. The bad guys have left bags of trash and littered a lot of the sites…too bad. It’s otherwise a beautiful spot right next to the Kern River and really quiet at night.
