This is our go-to place when it comes to camping and eating the most delicious food. The people are friendly and helpful and the restaurant has a lovely cozy feeling -lovely gardens and trees surrounding it. The beach is only a short walk from the restaurant and camping sites. At night the staff comes in to spray insecticide around the campsites to ward off the mosquitos. You can have your washing done at a tip negotiated with staff. Since the bridge was built it is very easy to access the area and if you get a rainy day you can visit Maputo that's not too far. They have lovely swimming pools for adults and kids.
Report Check-InDid not really like the place mainly due to the noise and not well kept beach. 4 spots for camping around trees. It was a long weekend holiday so it could be that all the chalet rented out to big parties left me with sleepless nights
Report Check-InThe camping spots are on sand. Price 700 Mt pppd plus power 350 Mt pd.
Report Check-InNice shady campsites, nice pool and bar area - only complaint is the “doof doof” music they play from early morning. 2 sweet little doggies (chico & flakkie) to keeep you company and chase away unwanted visitors or monkeys
R140pp out of season
Open and running. Well maintained. Short walk to the sea. Clean, hot showers. Restaurant, Bar and swimmingpools. Close to Maputo. Nice place for a long holiday.
Report Check-InVery clean and well maintained facilities with swimmingpool. Nice and shady campsites protected from wind. Surprisingly empty beach so close to Maputo (stayed during the week)
Report Check-InNow 700mts pppn, electricity is 350mts.
We agree with previous comments, but it’s convenient to Komatipoort crossing.
More a parking area with a braai, than a nice Campsite. Cars and Quads were crossing during the hole day, very noisy. at weekends there are many day-visitors, so also dozens of cars parking at the camsites and hundred of People using the Ablutions. the sink for dishes were very dirty, Ablutions are good, Hot water, even at the washbasins. the Staff is very friendly, the manager too.. the restaurant is good, there is a nice pool. The beach is nice, and only 10 Minutes away. you can buy Bread (buns) at the reception, monday morning you get 3days-old buns but you have to pay the full price ! They charge 600 pppn in low season, plus 250 mets for electricity , Wifi costs 150 mets(and is very fast) . i think that is too expensive for a medicore Campsite.
Report Check-InNice campsite and friendly staff. 600mt pp.
you don't need to use the ferry. They build a bridge now!
