Saudi Arabia
Jeddah changes a lot. The houses here have been turned down. Now this whole area close to the Hotel Sahari (behind and left side) is used as parking site, no fee to pay. It’s flat, but very dusty. No amenities, no shade, no light. 5 min. walk into old town or cycle from here. In the evening it gets a bit busy, but at night it is quiet, beside normal city background-noise. We stayed 2 nights here and it was ok. I don’t know how long it will be like this, but maybe it will turn into a real parking, as the people here are used to park as close as possible to destinations.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Still ok, crowded but huge, you can find a more or less quiet place. The good thing is that people don't pick-nick here, so the noise is just from cars passing by. We slept better here than on the beach/corniche.
Report Check-Ingood place for a night. quite from 11. we asked a policeman and he said that is ok sleep there
