Description

Nice place near waterfalls (and abandoned power station) that is frequented by locals during the weekend for swimming. No facilities except a long drop toilet that can only be reached by a river crossing. The place is privately managed. After negotiations we agreed on a fee of GYD 1000 per person, expensive like anything targeted at tourists in Guyana.

This is a camping site in the abandoned hydroelectric station next to the river. Here lives a family in the the house from the station. They let us pass the night in the paviment for more comfort. The site don't have a toilet. The water is from the river. No electricity service or something. You have to bring with you all your camping stuff. The properly camp site are in construction after being abandoned time ago. The actual cost is 3000 Guyana dollars per person bringing al the stuff and without any guidance or help if you wanted to the price is 5000g$

We argued that was more expensive than a good hotel at the city and finally he made for G$ 5.000,00 for 2 overnights.
No facilities. Only a big table. The place is nice, but badly managed for what they want to charge you. Even to eventually visit the damm, it will cost extra...
