Great campground. The road up is a little unnerving but doable. Bathrooms were clean and park kept up.

Stayed here for the 3 rd time. Love this place. Great views quiet!!

I’m not sure what all the hype is for this campground? It is well kept but the spaces are right on top of each other. Also, it says that you MUST make a reservation online in advance but we found out that isn’t true as people were just picking a spot when they arrived.

Tried to reserve a same day spot online. Was told no available reservable spaces and 4 first come sites available. Drove up and at least half of loop A and B had open for one night signs... on a Friday evening. Online reservations don’t seams to tell you much in colorado for same day spots. So far we’ve always found something nice.
Had a bumper to horn stand off with a big horned sheep. She would not move. Amazingly beautiful. So drive slowly coming up. They are on the road. If your brave with a class A, otherwise all other vehicles are fine. Tunnel clearance is 16’.
$22 for us. I think park entry fee is $20 for an RV but we happened to arrive on a few free day.
Nice views of the valley and a nice breeze. A little buggy, but they don’t really hover or bite.

Loop B—didn’t have a reservation, but several sites were tagged “open for 1 night.” I grabbed a nice one around noon and set out to see the area. Breathtaking vistas and unique geology. Thumbs up!

Stayed two nights. Very clean well kept campground as one would expect in National Monument. I appreciated the recycling dumpsters, running water bathroom. No tent pads at most sites. Luckily our site was level. We stayed two nights.

Rolled in late, tired and cold so got lazy and meant to put the registration slip in the dropbox in the morning. Volunteer caretaker came by at 7am to gently remind me, followed by a park ranger who would've ticketed me if I didn't have the completed paperwork in my hand. So don't be sloppy like me and get that form done upon arrival.

$22 with good bathrooms and a great vista

Very clean and nice campground close to town.

This is the Saddlehorn Campground. It’s one of the established campgrounds in the park. The lot was completely booked when I arrived except for one “one night only” spot, so I took it. $22 and well worth it! Beautiful campground with clean bathrooms, running water, and charcoal grills and picnic tables at most sites. Very close to an amazing overlook spot and a few hiking trails as well.

great view from the bluffs. Curvy paved road to the top, any vehicle except super rigs can do it easy. bathrooms and water. no host when we stayed in October so just self check-in. not very crowded. worth the money.

Cost is now $22 per night. Most of Loop and and B are done by the government reservation system (which adds about $8 to the camping fee) on Loop A and B. There are a few first-come, first-served in Loop A, but you can only stay 1 night. Loop C does not use reservation. No generators allowed in Loop C.

Saddlehorn Campground in the Colorado National Monument. Situated near the CNM visitor centers where rangers are onsite, so we felt very safe. Price is currently $22/night but half off with America the Beautiful pass. Loops B and C are closed for winter, but there are still plenty of open spaces. Hiking trails by the campground are kid friendly and there are plenty of other trails throughout the park with various levels of difficulty. Great views!
