Description
Camping El Cerro is located in the Mountains South/Central of Costa Rica 400mts off the Panamerican highway. This is a family and locally owned business and we live on the property to assure a personalized service.
Please contact us by phone or WhatsApp +(506)8831-9669 before arrival. Our place is accessible with 4x4 vehicles only. From the main road is a green gate that is often closed but not locked, then 400mts gravel road to a wooden gate at the campsite.
The Campside contains a B&Q with picnic tables and cooking area and a flushing toilet available to use for all guests, the ranch has lights and electricity 120v. The campsite has beautiful gardens and small trails to walk around the 1.5 hectares. We are located near various hidden tourist attractions. Perfect for photography and birdwatching.
There is capacity for 6 4x4 vehicles and 2 campers Vans or a total of 10 Full SUV size vehicles. We have two friendly dogs.
We have good cellphone signal from Kolby which is the main comunication provider in CR.

At this GPS location there was only a locked gate with a sign ”private property”. Dogs barking but nobody around. It took us two sweaty hours to get back up to the main road with our 2WD WV T5 van despite proper all-terrain tires. Only suitable for 4WD vehicles. If this campsite exists or is open someday, you cannot enter the gate with a vehicle more than about 2.2 meters of height. Good luck!
