One campsite. Large swimming area, can be busy. Stone/Pebble Beach, some sand. Great view!
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Tried to stop here but it was full. Easy drive with a 4x4 but I'd not try it with an RV.
Report Check-InAwesome spot, spent a couple nights here. We are 21 foot class C motorhome, not 4x4. There is only one really sandy patch on the way in so we decided to try.... got stuck and had to dig our way out. On the way back out we put some buckets of rocks from the beach on the sandy path and floored it and got through just fine. Note the entrance is also a bit steep and bumpy. All worth it! Great swimming with sandy patches of beach.
You could camp here without going over the sand, however, you would be right by the highway with no privacy.
Report Check-InLarge single campsite on the lake shore. Campfire spots. Pulled in at 9:00 pm last night. Fairly quiet. Lots of beach goers today. Awesome views. Great swimming.
Report Check-InStopped here for dinner. There were a few people camping just a bit further down but it is a nice rocky beach. If you take your car further down be careful with the deep sandy ground.
Report Check-InReally beautiful view and sunset, can fit 2 cars. Need a 4x4 as it’s a sand road to access the spot under the trees. Next to the highway but really calm during the night. The pebble are really beautiful and colorful !
Report Check-InSo peaceful and easy to find. The road is by the advertiser.
There is water, rocks, sand and a land to park your car. Quoi demander de mieux!?
Wow! The road is made of sand and it is chlose to the advertising.
Report Check-InThe beach was absolutely beautiful when we arrived. Be careful to stay on the tire tracks if you do drive over to the camp spot as beside the path is soft sand which we had to help dig an RV out of.
Report Check-InAmazing! entrance is a little hard to find if you're coming from the south. we missed it and had to turn around. our van is a Ford transit high roof, 22 feet long and we fit the spot no problem. two could park side by side (if you're together), and then there's a spot right near road as well. a firepit is already established. love, love, loved it. suitable for day use as well as overnight parking.
Report Check-InIf southbound, turn sharply right directly underneath the "Sunset Shores" advertising billboard and follow the sandy road to the end. That's the best spot hidden from the highway in the trees; if it's already taken then there are ok spots along the sandy road that you will have seen. I got there at 17:30 on a Saturday and no one else tried to come (except for people visiting the beach only), so not that busy in the off-season :) Beautiful view, one of the best places I've stayed!
Report Check-InBeautiful spot. Fire pit, tree coverage so it feels nicely tucked away from the road, view of the lake is really lovely. I stayed one night, seems a popular spot so I’d recommend getting there early.
Report Check-Ingreat camp with good open view. during day a lot of traffic on the highway. at night quiet. beach is sandy in some parts.
Report Check-InSomeone was already at the main campsite, it was late so we camped out on the trail closer to the highway. A bit of traffic during the night but overall great place with decent privacy and right next to a pebbly beach
Report Check-InThis spot has a fantastic view. Beautiful stone beach, two fire rings, one of which is on the beach. Nice view of sunset. Close to Hwy but I didn’t find the noise bothersome at all. Stayed two nights. First very quiet, second day and evening a bit more busy with others visiting the beach and maybe wanting to insist this site. If I didn’t feel like I was preventing other from accessing this spot I’d stay longer!
