Description
$30, first-come first-serve camping is available in the middle parking area of this county park. It's basically a small parking lot, but there are trees alongside it and the beach is a very short walk away. There are multiple picnic tables in the camping are. Garbage and recycling bins are available. Pit toilets were clean.
This is a popular kite-/windsurfing location, so it is extra busy on warm, windy weekends.
Pay at the machine near the entrance. Camp hosts were friendly.

Good cell on Verizon. Sufficient spots during the week. Bunch of kite surfers. No water or showers. But they do have toilets. Nice ocean breeze. But you are mostly on a parking lot. So only worth the $30 if you either want to kite surf or need a place close to SF.
Report Check-InGreat little spot. I was told it can get busy on warm weekends, but otherwise it's pretty mellow. There's a machine to pay when you first arrive. Be aware that it charges $20 per "day" but it actually seems to give you closer to 36 hours. For example, I arrived at 5pm on Tuesday and my permit was good until 7am on Thursday.
There are three parking areas and camping is only allowed in the middle lot. The first area is for day use/kite surfers, and last area is the boat launch parking lot.
Nice camp hosts. Pit toilets are clean, and there are several picnic tables in the camping area. It's a short walk to the beach. The nearby windmills can get kind of loud when it's windy.
Report Check-InReally busy on weekends, but a really cool place to just relax, and enjoy the view of wind surfers, and kite surfers. Very laid back, dogs need to remain on leash but they provide plenty of poop bags, and lots of cool little trails that weave in and out to the beaches. Will definitely be back to camp during the week when it’s not so busy. Windy.
Report Check-InOvernight camping is indeed allowed by policy as confirmed by the campground host, Bob and his wife. It is $12.50 a night. Nice place, immaculate bathrooms with bookcases inside them for reading material lol.
Report Check-InParking with possible overnight. At the water. Good for kitesurfing/windsurfing. Pay the permanent caretaker "Bob" 12,50$ and you are good for 24h. Dayparking is 5$. Good Toilets. Water free at the marina close by. picknick benches and good people.
