Latest Check-Ins

If you’re in the area, def check this place out! As soon as you meet the camp host, inker, you’ll be welcomed into the hoopa valley. The campground sits on the Trinity river and has a beautiful swimming / fishing area on that river. When you first arrive you’ll be greeted by the most amazing wolf hybrid, te amo. He might be shy at first while he reads you but once he accepts you, you’ll always have a wagging tail when you enter and leave. Don’t worry, he’s on a chain.

There’s a playground for children and the water comes from springs up the mountain.

Inker informed us that they will have showers, a traditional sauna, and a new mural shortly.

The price for a site is $20 a night.

On a side note, inker is very knowledgeable about the tribes history and has personal stories of Bigfoot. He’s been featured on a half dozen tv shows on the subject and gladly opens up about his and his family and friends experiences on the Rez with the wild people.

As one of the visitors said: this is a best kept secret, and keep it that way. We couldn’t agree more — so it’s a bit controversial sharing it here. However, as you guys are fellow travellers, this is worth sharing. Beautiful place, lovely people, great swim, easy going and don’t forget to respect the area.

It will cost 20 dollars, but it’s more than worth it. Enjoy!

lovely spot in the oak forest, very welcoming camp host who will greet you in his language tell you about his people and traditions. If nobody is at home just pick a spot and he'll come by eventually. Update: practice bear safety with your food. One came by and knocked over my bike in the middle of the night.

nice quiet spot,a little too quiet and bears made it a little unsafe in my tent. Had to leave middle of the night. Hey, it's there home!
