when lake clements is full or you don't want to join the locals party on Friday evening, then come here half a mile east on the main road. there is room for big rigs to park at the rest stop, but smaller rigs and tents can go down the track in the right hand corner which takes you off the roadside and a clearing that will hold possibly three of you. the blue items are not tents but barrels.
Report Check-Inif you are travelling east the rest stop is on the right just before the snow gates/barriers, or if travelling west it's just after the gates on the LHS. it's a really nice spot with some shade and quiet with very little night time traffic.
