Peru
When visiting this part of the national park, don't just stop at the two lagunas.
Even if you're like us and don't want to do the whole loop, make sure to drive up this mountain pass to its highest point at around 4.700m. The higher up you get, the more amazing the view of the two lagunas below and the many snow covered peaks around you gets. The road is fun to drive. It's a bit narrow but has very little traffic. We saw trucks coming down this road so any vehicle can do it.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
agree with last comment. don't bother on a cloudy day, you will be disappointed. this goes for the whole NP loop.
Report Check-InDrove up until the pass and back down after walking to the laguna 69.
The weather was very cloudy, so for us this extra drive was not worth it.
But we are sure: When it‘s sunny it is worth it!
The road is ok - really little Traffic (on sunday afternoon)
