Great spot right at the shore of the river, many options before, along and even across, depending on the water level.
There's dirt biking and ATV traffic during the afternoon, but everyone had to be home for dinner. Access road gets bumpy at the end, but the first few sites are 2WD. Cell service even down at the river. Stopped at Brainard Lake before, but this is so much better for swimming and mosquitos. No train or road noise!

Some hundred meters before reaching the spot there is a brandnew 'No Trespassing' sign.
Report Check-InThere truly are a ton of gnats. They're swarming over my windows. Plenty of parking spots though.
Report Check-InHahaah. Just found out there are dirt bike races tomorrow morning. I guess we're having beer for breakfast and a show!
Report Check-InAs described, a lot dirt bikes and quads. It's 8h30 and they seem to be packing up... even if they're friendly. Saw some guys driving around shoveling up crap, complaining about people leaving their garbage. So... pick up your trash and don't be a d!ck. Keep it clean for the iOverlanders and the locals as this is their play ground too.
The river is dry sadly.
And mosquitoes under control but gnats are annoying!
Great place, and yes, a lot of ATV activity, but I suspect it will be quiet tonight.
Report Check-Invery spacious and open space for any size rig. pretty leveled and easy to navigate. there is a pond in the middle which attracts tons of mosquitos but good spot.
