Description

All the people we met told us that we could park where we wanted. At a parking lot we can see the cargo ships. 'there is a small grocery store in the village. Secure corner next to the police station and it is free. go to the fire station, 200 m, to stock up on water, free. Near police station on the canal side, quiet.
the train passes by a few times but did not bother us. good place.
in the church on the opposite of the road, the pastor offered for us to use the shower!

still available with a safe feeling. pretty visible for everybody passing through town (which is very quiet at night) but directly at the train tracks (passes from time to time, not a huge problem). level asphalt, partly shade and a nice view of the canal if you ignore the fence. police doesn't mind overnight stays

Great place to rest and enjoy the ships on the canal and hiking trails. Suitable for all RV sizes. Showers and a microwave available across the street in the church. Potable water near by. Everyone here is very friendly and welcoming. Afternoon shade is limited. I was offered electricity from the building under construction. As I said, very friendly. Very, Very quiet here except for the 2 trains that pass before midnight. After that, very peaceful. Loud birds early in the morning.

We reached late at night, road from Panama City had heavy traffic. Road was good all the way until here. We were happy to find the big space to park and watch the shop pass by. Few trains that passed at night, if not really quiet and safe.

Police and fire station near by, picked up milk and yogurt from the near by shop. Lovely place.

Awesome spot right along the canal. Gamboa is small and we found everyone to be friendly. The spot here has no facilities, it is just a shady parking lot, but the view of the ships passing in the night is worth it.

We were even invited to church the next day across the street. The kindly pastor offered us the use of facilities in the church, but of course it's only open on Sunday as far as we know.

We felt very safe and the night was exceptionally quiet.

Nice parking lot next to the canal. Very quiet. The police drove by a few times. Very safe! Awesome view of the huge ships going by and the train. The train conductors would wave and honk at us. Pretty fun experience! Free!
