Description

This is the parking lot directly across from Pioneer Park. It is mentioned in another posting, but you CANNOT stay in Pioneer Park. The parking lot is used for the multi purpose trail access that goes through St. George. We enjoyed the sunset from here. The traffic kind of dies down around 11 and picks up again around 5. Good Verizon signal. The parking lot is small so Starlink would need to go on top of your vehicle if you stay here very long.
There are public bathrooms at Pioneer Park that you can use until the park closes.

Latest Check-Ins

Stayed 2 Eves here while visiting friends in St George. 2-3 vans also here. No problems, great view, only room for car/van. Loud partiers Sat night, Sunday quiet. Lots of road noise. Bathrooms at park across street open 6am to 10pm, but one had door open all night. Multiple lots with views, but this lot is only lot that has spaces facing valley.

Spent one night here. It took two tries to find the spot. It’s across (south of) the very busy Red Hills Parkway street from Pioneer Park. If coming from I-15 and driving west on Red Hills Parkway, you need to be in the left lane. Turn left just after passing the Pioneer Park entrance on the right. Google Maps calls this area a “City Overlook Area.” It’s next to the paved Red Hills Parkway Trail.
This area is extremely loud from traffic, which didn’t settle until after 11 p.m. and amped back up about 5 a.m. There were three cars that also stayed the night. With a 27’ motor home, I had to park diagonally across two parking spaces, the area is really meant for smaller vehicles. This was a safe place to take a needed one-night rest. The people in St. George were pleasant and helpful at all the stores and restaurants I visited.
