Mexico
Next to and part of a restaurant. Also next to Paco's camping and restaurant. Both establishments also have rooms to rent, unsure of price.
Going rate for camping around town is 70 pesos. We went with Uber for the palapa that our rig fit under for shade.
Was chill, and quite. A restaurant light was left on all night for light to bathrooms and shower. Lots of shade, hammock space, electricity, strong on shore breeze keeps you cool and bugs away. Surf break is right out front. VERY Very crowded, although it is Sat, and there was a big swell in the water.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Initially 200 pp, negotiated to 150. Bathrooms and electricity. Rainproof palapa actually is rainproof. Rooms $70 per night. No other camping in town anymore apparently. Whole town $$$$
Report Check-InWe stayed 3 nights at Ilianets restaurant and really enjoyed our time there. We're sleeping in a tent and the rain proof palapa with electricity and light was perfect for us. The palapas next door are very run down and they won't hold back any rain.. We felt very safe and didn't hear about any safety issues after talking to other overlanders who camped there for a longer time.
We've been allowed to use the WiFi of the hotel and it just reached the camping area which was fine for us.
Prices are still 150 per person even after trying very hard to get the price down a little bit. Everything on the beach is very expensive though.
Right on the beach, good surfing out front. Free Wifi only available for hotel guests, not campers. Showers are basic New price is also much higher, 300Ps for 2 persons.
There are also security issues in the area, this place with it's easy beach access, may not be that safe.
Report Check-InAs described. Close to the surf break and by a restaurant (but very quiet night). We were ready to try to bargain from 70 to 50 pesos per person but we were asked 100ppp. With limited spanish, we got it down to 80ppp. Maybe ask around and go see other places before setting camp, just so you still have some bargaining leverage.
Report Check-InNice and chill place. Actually the name I think it’s ILIANET, but Uber is the name of the owner. Nice people, although the owner tried to charge me 150 pesos per night. I ended up paying 100
Report Check-InYo!!! Uber is the man!! If you are planning either a campout, or parking your rig, this spot is perfect. No wifi (yet, but eventually coming). Otherwise a PERFECT stay. We stayed a quick week here, and would gladly ha g around for another month. Surf is right out the door, and plenty of palapas for shade and supreme hammocking. Electricity is scattered and easy to run a plug. Restaurant is awesome but not crazy cheap. And Uber will absolutely take care of you and whatever you need. We were even handed a batch of baby turtles to release to sea one night by Uber’s dad- such a pleasant surprise. 5 stars
