Nice free campground, great views. Spaces were full by mid afternoon on a weekday. The road to get here is pretty wash boarded so watch out for that. The tunnels you get to drive through are really neat.

Decent campground with easy access to the river bank. Sites are near each other, but overall we were happy.

driving from the south you pass through 3 tunnels, clearance said 11'4".
a few spots open at 330pm on Tuesday June 20th.
Road through designated spots has tight turns, not big rig friendly. class b or smaller c would work, or anything smaller.

1 bar Verizon LTE. Free camping but you must park at a designated site. There were two sites left at 6 pm on a Saturday. Beautiful view of the mountains. The sites are close enough that loud groups could ruin a night of sleep but luckily everyone was just camping when we were here. Portapotties and fire rings. No other amenities.

Made it easily with the prius! Room for big rigs right south of elephant rock. Nice and quiet place with five or six other people.

Stayed one night. I will be back. this place was nice and quit. Sites are spread out. We stayed at site 10 it was pretty level and a short walk to the river. The road is pretty bumpy getting in and getting into the site. But we made it in the 24ft Navion.

Nice little are with 1-2 bars of LTE just after the tunnels. Easy to get to; big rig friendly.

An entrance to the left and right of the big “elephant” rock - a few cars and rigs down on the right side so we went to the left and were the only one there when we pulled in around 7:30 pm.

Beautiful campground near the river. Lots of rock climbing. Highly recommend if only to drive through the rock tunnels!

This spot is known as elephant rock. Close to some good climbing on bobs rock acroos the road. River is close to. Fire Rings. Most popular camping near BV

Great place to spend a night or 2. There are some fire rings. No trash or toilets. Cell service is spotty. Verizon. The river is just on the other side of the tracks. No trains though.

this would be more appropriately named elephant rock campground. that is what it is called on google maps. it is a popular free site for rvs, car sleepers, and tent campers. basically a large dirt parking lot with some fire rings and walk in tent camping closer to the river. it was pretty full on a saturday in july. but you can go wherever you can fit. other pulloffs neaby which you can see easily on the satellite map had less cars. im taking off stars because there was an rv parked there lighting up the whole place like a parking lot well past 10pm with an ugly bright bluish tinted outdoor security type light. however the wash across the street makes for a great hiking trail. saw an awesome owl here staring at me early in the morning.

Beautiful campsites along the Arkansas River. Our campsite had a fire ring only, but heard from others that there were picnic tables in some farther south.
