Beautiful calm location just 1 km away from el Rio de la Plata. The place is owned by a lovely Swiss couple (know from the Swiss TV Series 'Auf und davon'). They offer new bungalows with 1 or 2 beedrooms with bathroom and a small kitchen. A swimming pool is also on site. The beautiful place is located only 15 minutes from Colonia del Sacramento, the gateway to Buenos Aires. You can travel from Colonia to Buenos Aires in less than 1.5 hours by Buquebus (ferry). We had a great time with Ruedi & Susanne and enjoyed the warm hospitality of the 2. Susanne is also a very ambitious cook, the food was always very delicious 😋. Small restaurant on site (on demand). Vehicle storage is also possible. They speak German, Spanish, French and English.

We are back at this quiet, beautiful place with the great hospitality of Susanne and Ruedi. The two innovative owners have made their Posada perfect for travelers and always have new ideas to make their guests even more comfortable. The latest project is a toilet and shower for overlanders. We can recommend this place to anyone who needs a few days' break from everyday life or from traveling. If required, you can enjoy a hearty breakfast or a 3-course meal prepared by Susanne. They are happy if you let them know in advance when you are coming.
Report Check-InPosada Casavieja is a wonderful quiet place in the middle of nature. The warm hosts Susanne and Ruedi Althaus offer a gravelled parking lot for overnight stays. It is also possible to rent a bungalow.water can be filled up. Susanne is also happy to provide breakfast or dinner. She is a great cook even makes her own pasta. The two are always happy to welcome new or known guests.
