No checkpoint going north on March 20, 2024
We don't have any photos of this place yet.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Northbound, blocked one lane so you must go by 4 men in black & tan both directions. We were waved through.
Report Check-InNorthbound. One lane. Black shirts, tan pants with masks. Waved through.
Report Check-InSouthbound traffic was being stopped but nothing for northbound. This is Friday early afternoon.
Report Check-InNo checkpoint going north. People selling Tamales on side of road.
Report Check-InPassed by this afternoon. We were stopped and asked where we were going. Initially he spoke to us in Spanish. We didn’t understand what he said, continued in English. Just asked the one question and waved us through. A little intimidating.
Report Check-InPassed by today on a Sunday and there was no checkpoint. I guess it's the best to drive on Sundays.
Report Check-Innothing here today, on a sunday, 10h45 am. absolutely nothing. seems the point is ahead, but not here.
About 8 people in black uniform, some sort of federal officers, doing checks on most cars by the looks of it. They asked us to get out of the van but my husband stuck with him while he squatted down and used his flashlight to check under the van. He also looked in my handbag. Very polite and spoke English.
Report Check-Inaround 6 guys with uniforms but no official signs. one guy tried flagging us down with a torch and vest. we slowly passed him and just continued driving. didn't pursue us. seems super sketchy.
Report Check-InToday we were pulled over at this checkpoint, about 10 men and 2 women, some of them with guns. They are FGR agents (General prosecutors of the republic) https://fgr.org.mx/ . They are mainly searching for drugs and weapons. They were friendly and chatty to us. Just keep an eye on them while they check your stuff and they'll let you go after a few minutes.
Report Check-InWe were stopped for inspection. A lot of guys wearing all black searched the car for about 3 minutes. They were pretty friendly and talked to us in english. We had our valuables with us outside of the car. So it wasn’t a big deal at all. After the quick search inside our car we were allowed to move on.
Report Check-InA group of unmarked people wearing police style clothing. Pulling people over for a “5-minute check.” They had no identification. They searched our van looking for cash and drugs. They also searched my purse, then let us go and did not take anything. Next time this happens, I plan to ask for identification before exiting my vehicle…
Report Check-InNobody here when we went through yesterday on Sunday. Maybe only here weekdays.
Report Check-InOfficial police checkpoint.
some cops and state police vehicles, but they were busy with their phones.
Nothing here today, there is a little tent at one of the points but no one was there.
Report Check-InNo stop, everything is fine. Either way it's the highway, it's hard to slow down.

Nothing here today (Monday at 2:00 pm). Maybe they worked all weekend.
Report Check-InWhile heading North, we were stopped just a bit further, under the bridge at the entrance of the village. A group of around 10 men, they had no uniform, no badge, no guns, just flashlights.
They stopped a car on front of us and let a few other go through.
They asked us where we came from, where we were heading to and then asked us to move further for a “5 minutes search”. We acted as if they were telling us to move on and just continued the road without stopping. It really doesn’t look legit.
Group of men dressed similarly to one another stopped us and asked us to pull over. We don’t speak Spanish but I think they asked us to take 5 minutes to search our vehicle. We drove past the spot where they asked us to pull over and just kept going. About 1 mile down the road from here we were waived past by a policeman wearing a uniform and standing next to a marked truck. The checkpoint was definitely sketchy. And do the police just down the road know about what is going on? I think so, how about you?
