Nice place in a small clearing at the end of a spur forest road right by a little creek. It's the closest legal free option south of Lassen Volcanic NP. Perfectly quiet at night.

Beautiful site! As others have noted, the spur road down to the site is blocked with downed trees and rocks. It looks like it’s been blocked intentionally. We were tent camping, so we parked in front of the downed tree and walked our gear down to the fire ring. It’s a gorgeous spot, but likely not as nice if you’re in a van or RV.

Definitely the best wild camping spot so far in the US i have visited in 3 weeks. Quiet. Peaceful. Lot of mosquitos😀

Report Check-In

nice spot with easy 2wd access. FS has blocked the road to the better site but i parked in front of it and made it work. probably not suited for rigs with the block up but good for cars/tents. easy access to the creek to dip in or filter water from. no Tmobile cell service. some road noise but died out after dark. many other sites to choose from if you continue down the roads.

road leading to this location is currently snowed in

Report Check-In

not sure if we even got the right location. the forest Road ended after 25ft because there was a tree over it. Looked like they may have made I on purpose?
Stayed there nevertheless and had a quiet night. The creek is beautiful, I had my morning bath there.

Stayed 5/15/2022. The path to the camp site was blocked by a fallen tree so we pulled up to the tree and stayed one night. Very peaceful, no other cars and had 1 bar for Mint and few bars for Verizon. Walked down to the site and it was right by the stream with a fire pit.

We went directly to this pin and it was fine for one night on our way to Lassen. There might be other spots in this area, but there was only room for one van here. This time of year is still considered winter season so the road is not maintained. A few snow patches and downed trees to navigate. No amenities. In and out of 1 LTE bar with ATT. Free!

there are yellow jackets or the like taking an immediate interest in my car. Creek is bone dry. not sure I'll be staying. but it is cute and the fire ring a great feature.

turn right off Conard Grove, cross small bridge, then immediately turn left.

Lovely little spot with a fire ring. Close to Lassen Volcanic National Park and easy to access even for our low clearance vehicle.

Report Check-In

The creek is totally dry but the spot is quiet and peaceful. I had no useable t-mobile service but was a great spot for the night before heading to Lassen the next morning.

Such a fantastic spot with great cell and data with AT&T, a little spotty at times, but overall great. Dried creek. Loved having it to myself :)

Great spot. No cars. Little bit of road noise. 1-2 bars Att.

Great private spot off a dirt road. Keep driving past gps pin and you will find it. Established fire pit. Small creek. Flat enough for a tent. Some noise from the main road but not too busy at night.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet place not far from the highway. Cell service was weak but usable.

Beautiful place! There was just another car nearby. Beautiful wild flowers and creek. Quiet, we just heard some cars in the AM. There was signal.

Report Check-In

road was narrow but flat and wide enough for a van.

nice spot, drive in past the gps pin, there is a clearing with a fire ring.

yellow jackets were really obnoxious, buzzing around the van and trying to get in from sunup to sundown. didn't help that the last people dumped their dish water right in camp, attracting them even when there was no one there. please don't do that.

Report Check-In

Nice quiet spot right outside the national park. Minimal road noise, tucked in next to a small creek in a dense forest.

Report Check-In

Road is fixed, every car should be able to reach the spot. The last 100m are a bit tight.

Awesome spot, even has a nice fire ring (be careful with fires!)
Quiet and safe!

Report Check-In

Gravelroad to overnight location partly washed away and not accessable. Depth of tranches appr 60cm (2ft). It seems a temporary situation. Rest of the gravelroad in good condition.
