Latest Check-Ins

Looked nice, but nobody was at the reception and the farm, so I couldn’t stay there

Report Check-In

They were full, but they let me have a sheltered isolated spot amongst the trees without ablutions. R150 per vehicle. Heila 083 603 2958

I hadn't booked, I wasn't sure how far I'd make it that day. I arrived, the welcome was terse, they were full. I asked for a camping spot overnight as I was exhausted she said she could help. I was shown a rough spot in the bush. No shower, no water access, a small pile of wood fee was R150 for myself and a small van. If I had been informed this was all I was being offered and the cost before I drove 1 km into the bush I would have considered a different option. The place was also swarmed by mosquitos and zero signal.

We did not book but received a warm welcome from Heila. Neat and clean ablutions and a small sitting area with armchairs and a kitchen sink attached to the self catering house. Water was hot. Farm dam if u need a dip and dont mind the sediment. R150pp for camping. Convenient overnight stop. Recommended.

We were offered to bush camp (because the camps were occupied), 100 R per vehicle. Camp anywhere in the veld among sheep, just what we wanted. Very helpful owner.

Stopped by but didn’t stay. No MTN signal. Windy and no shade to speak of. Instead we moved on north to Kenhardt and camped at Elma’s B&B and camping. In the middle of town. Was surprisingly quiet. No wind and shade with good signal. Elma is very friendly and helpful. She only asks for a donation... we paid what we typically do ZAR 200 for the 2 of us.

We do love this spot. Very calm, except for a few cars at night. And the stars at night are amazing!! We did camping, could park the camper right next to the house, which provides a living room for campers and a nice and very clean bathroom. Always a hot shower, heating done by gas. If you are not into camping, you may book the flat.
Camping is 130 ZAR pp

We bushcamped in the Sakriver. No amenities. If you are rigged, then this is a nice typical Bushmanland place camping
and experiencing this part of the country.
