Something not right?

Description

a lovely pull off beside a creek making its way out of the rocky hillside. Room for a couple vehicles, found this in the morning, looks like it would be a lovely camp site. few signs saying no dumping. Made some Tea then carried on south.

Nice flat spot next to creek. Right by a cave and right off the road however it’s pretty quiet

Report Check-In

We stayed at this nice little spot. It is right off a country road. Upon arrival, we met Clint. He owns the property, and you just couldn't meet a nicer guy. There is a creek that became roiling after it rained. The creek comes from a large cave. Clint loves having campers stay as long as you respect the land and LEAVE NO TRACE. The rain also sent a good stream through our camp and, under our truck, tent campers beware. There is a flat spot at the entrance, and this is where Clint would like you to park. This has a heavy canopy, so if you are solar only, it's not a spot for you.

This is a small spot off a country rd. It is next to a creek coming out of a good-sized cave. We, too, met Clint, and you just can't meet a nicer guy. He loves people to camp here as long as you LEAVE NO TRACE. We raked up a few spots of broken glass and flotsam. This place has a nice canopy, so if you are strictly solar, you will have a problem. Clint grew up on the property and said, as a child, he and his family hauled water from the cave for their drinking water. He's 80 now so not sure I would drink it without filtering first. It started raining and the creek is now roiling. There is also a pretty good stream rolling through our camp and under our truck. No danger just muddy and wet if you have a tent. There is a flat place right as you enter and that is where Clint would prefer folks to camp.

Great stay at Fletchers Creek! Met Clint the owner and caretaker of the surrounding area and was given a tour of his family history. Best impromptu experience one would not expect. The stay was quiet and secluded, quite serene, and beyond beautiful. I plan to visit again some day!!

Had a great conversation with the property owner and his son. You pass their homes on the way. The water coming from the spring is used by some for their drinking water. If you don’t have an internal bathroom please do your business 200+ feet from the water, not behind the rock that is right at the cave. Keep it clean and practice LNT and this will be available for many years to come!

Great little pull off to sleep and explore a little. Creek comes from inside the hillside. Enough area for a couple vehicle. This is on private property. Met the owner, “Clint”. Very nice conversation. Just requested to keep area clean.

Spent an evening here. No signs prohibiting camping. Small spot for a couple small campers or RVs. No service with Verizon. I had intermittent internet with Starlink.
