- Price: 5000 Colones pp per night

- Bathroom & Shower: Very clean. The shower is cold water only but it was perfect after hot days of exploring the area.

- WiFi: Good WiFi, measured speeds were 16 mbps download and 10 mbps upload.

- Other things to note: There is a large shelter with several tables and a community kitchen. Marco also provides coffee and tea as well as a Costa Rican style coffee maker. You can see a lot of wildlife here and Marco is great at finding the animals; we saw a couple of sloths, toucans, poison arrow frogs, and another kind of frog that was red with blue legs. It's pretty quiet at night and the temperature is comfortable for sleeping.

Spent one week here and it was perfect ! We saw sloths 3 times during our stay here. Marco is very nice and can give you tips on what to do and see around. He is also very handy and can help you fix stuff on your van (he was a welder before opening the campground and has it’s machine to repair stuff)

The location is great with everything walking distance from the campground.

You can also use Uber or a service call “EasyHop” that cost only 3$ to lift you to mostly every popular attractions in La Fortuna

Starlink and solar will be an issue here because of the trees but the internet was fast enough to work and do zoom calls for the entire stay. Electricity available also for charging your batteries!

A really great place to stay. Marco has built a camping spot you really are looking for. Everything you need is available and the best is the big seating and kitchen area with a large roof to weather off everything may coming ahead. In the middle of nature and only in short distance to the city a must see and stay.

This facility is simply great. Complete outdoor kitchen, drinking water, good WiFi, clean toilets with paper, clean shower with soap (cold), many spaces for all vehicle sizes. Marco is very helpful and always shows you animals, we had toucans, sloths and frogs every day for the 3 nights. no rain. you can also rent a tent, or a cabana, walking distance to the town, 5000 Col per person (and we ask for using the Private Washingmaschine)

We spent two nights here, 5000 colones ppn. Marcos the owner is very friendly, the place is close to the town of La Fortuna. There is drinking water,speed wifi and very clean bathrooms.
We were able to see many animals in the place (toucans, sloth, black and red frogs) Recommended.

We had a very pleasant stay here for 4 nights. Marco is very welcoming and accommodating. He helped lifting cables and branches and made sure we had enough room to park and didn't mind at all some deep tracks we left in the dirt while maneuvering in position. One we were in place he made sure the tracks were smoothened again. Facilities are great and it was a nice international traveler community while we stayed here.

Super nice and welcoming host! We stayed for two nights with our van and paid c10000 per van/night (2 people). Very pretty and quiet campground but still walking distance from town. All was very clean, WiFi worked well and there was a shared kitchen area. Would definitely recommend!

I agree with the last comment. Marco and Franco are really very welcoming and always take care of travelers. the showers and toilets are finished and very clean. There is a kitchen and a shared space. I recommend this campsite with its unusual calm, a haven of peace.

This place is wonderful. The washrooms and showers are great and they get cleaned daily. You can see sloths in the trees above your head and if you look hard enough you can spot the many frogs you hear singing at night. The people who manage the campsite are super friendly and accommodating, and Marcos, the owner is very passionate about the campers experience.
It is less than a 10 minute walk from downtown La Fortuna.

This is absolute paradise and the most beautiful place in the Fortuna region! We were lucky enough to see 3 sloths, 4 toucans and lots of colorful frogs up close. The owner Marco is super nice and very helpful. He showed us these special animals and took a lot of time for us. Thank you very much Marco, it was great! We can recommend everyone to come here and enjoy the unique nature.

We stayed two nights and we were welcomed like VIPs.
Marco the owner showed us all the hidden animals.
But the highlight was the sloth, which we were able to observe up close.

This place is super! Not only because of Marco and Alejandro but also the surrounding nature and excellent amenities. We had such a warm welcome. Marco also showed us frogs that we wouldn’t have found with our own eyes. Very much recommended!

We spent 3 nights here after a few nights at Lagos Del Río. We needed wifi and Lagos was a dead zone.
Marco was a wonderful host and even gifted us some local coffee.
We appreciated having a dry kitchen to cook in plus a place to hang out when it was raining which was a LOT.
THe bathrooms don’t have lights yet so bring a headlamp with you. There’s always soap and lots of toilet paper and it’s very clean. We loved the always changing view of Volcán Arenal from the covered kitchen area which was also a great spot for morning yoga!
A great place that will only get better as Marco finishes up more projects.
Ask him to take you on a frog hunt. We spotted several beautiful species in just a few minutes and even saw a sloth. We were so happy about this as we didn’t want to have to pay to see a sloth as that only encourages locals to take them from the wild and put them in “sanctuaries “

Mario is amazing and very excited about guests. Camping looks like a garden. Clean and new bathroom, good WiFi and well equipped sheltered kitchen. Paid 4000crc/ppn. Lot of animals and we got a discount for hanging bridges! Recommended.

Loved this campsite. Saw sloths, blue jeans frogs, other poison dart frogs and toucans. also the guys are awesome, even let us pitch our tent unter the roof cause of all the rain.

Es tanto lo bueno que se puede decir de la familia "Fabreca" que ni siquiera tengo palabras. Es mucho más que recomendado, no es un camping común, es un HOGAR PARA LOS VIAJEROS. Marco y Alejandro están pendientes de todo lo que puedan querer o necesitar. no dejen de visitar el lugar, pero tampoco dejen de disfrutar de su gente, les sorprenderán.

Marco e seu filho Alejandro são pessoas fantásticas! Estão sempre melhorando e mantendo o camping. Fui tratado como família. Fica perto do centro da charmosa Lá Fortuna, o Wi-Fi eh muito bom, tem cozinha e geladeira compartilhada. Pude ver bicho preguiça, rãs venenosas e muitos pássaros, também tem um lago com patos. Outra parada obrigatória para os brasileiros que estão subindo. Serão tratados com muito carinho.

Not much to add. The owner and his son are great and made us Chicharon one night and spent time finding the animals for us. Bathrooms are clean, wifi is fast and there is a decent stove in the kitchen area.

Best place in La Fortuna.
We stayed for two night. very quiet. they have sloths on the trees, ducks running around, and a little lake with a turtle.
two cabanas, one is still under construction. bathroom and shower look nice - we didn't use them.

Super recomendo! Marco, Ale y su familia son muy agradables! hacen que tú estadía sea inolvidable! el lugar está aún en proceso, pero está al 100 para llegar y acampar!
wifi muy bueno, ambiente súper agradable, podés ver perezosos, ranas de diferentes colores, loros, tucanes y diversos pájaros.
se permiten mascotas.
tienen también dos casas para alquiler
varios espacios con sombra y otros con sol para quien ocupa el sistema solar.

Campsites are 4 dirt lots with no grass. Price is 4000pp/pn. The owner is very nice and welcoming. It might be nice in the future, but it is not a place I can recommend right now.

We stayed overnight at the campsite. Marco and his son Alejandro were super attentive and sweet. The site is under construction, but already has a bathroom and shower and a communal kitchen. Undoubtedly the best camping in Costa Rica.

We stayed 3 nights here with a big rig (8,5m//27 feets). Good place. Very calm. We have seen 1 tortue and 5 sloths (parezoso). There is Tucans also sometimes. Our son 12years old payed.

Best Campground with the nicest people, wanted to stay two nights, stayed almost a week. Everything like described. Calm and beautiful in the Nature of la Fortuna.

Very welcoming place. Marco and Alejandro are great. If the toilet and shower was finished it would be the place to be in la Fortuna. At the moment there is one clean toilet with bucket flush and a ok shower. 10 minutes walk to town centre.

So far the only official campsite we stayed at, and because Alejandro was so welcoming.
There is a resident sloth family at the campsite and you can see the volcano directly.

Wifi works great, shower is good, there is nothing missing.

You can fill up your water tanks.

3000crc pp as of March 2023.

Highly recommended place.

Best place in La Fortuna, or even in Costa Rica! Marco and Alejandro are very friendly, and showed us the real Pura Vida! I had a bacteria in my ear, and they helped me like family. Really nice camping, with lots of animals. Feel like home!

This is the ideal place to be if you are in La Fortuna. The camping has everything you need (toilet. Shower, kitchen area). Marco and his son Alejandro do as much as they can possibly do to make sure your stay is great. Really good vibes. The place is being renovated so the facilities are improving rapidly. We got to see some sloths, bluejean frogs and plenty of birds. We had a great time here and especially liked the attention that Marco and Alejandro put to the place and their guests.. 🫶🙏

Definitely the place where we were best received in Costa Rica!

Marco and his son Alejandro are the kindest and most helpful people in the world! Always willing to help and looking to provide us with the best possible experience in La Fortuna!

We were going to stay at the campsite with our RV just one night, but the experience we had was so good that we ended up staying a week!

The Wi-Fi at the campground is excellent for working, they also provide energy and drinkable water!

The cheapest camping we found in Costa Rica and at the same time the best experience we've ever had.

*Petfriendly (this was our dog's favorite backyard this year traveling around America!)

Lots of nature, here we saw sloths, toucans, frogs and ducks!

Ótimo 👍 aqui é possível ficar com mothorhomes, barracas ou na opção Airbnb. Tem Internet muito boa para trabalhar, cozinha comunitária, banheiro, ducha, aceitam pets, a área é arborizada e tem até um lago. Bem próximo do centro de La Fortuna. Marco o proprietário recebe a todos muito bem e é possível pedir indicações de passeios e dicas a ele. Top

This place is great! The owners are extremely friendly, showing you the tucans and sloths and even brought me really nice fresh bread in the morning!
They are working hard to make it more beautiful!
definitely recommend! perfect location to discover la Fortuna. only 5 min walk to town!

endroit vraiment paisible où il fait bon séjourner : idéal pour se reposer et rencontrer d'autres voyageurs.
Nombreux animaux, dont le fameux singe paresseux, visibles sur place ; petit bosquet et petit étang.
Marco et son fils Alejandro sont d'une extrême gentillesse et font tout pour vous mettre à l'aise
Je vous recommande vivement de vous arrêter sur ce spot durant votre roadtrip !!

the place is not quite finished but it was just perfect to pitch our tent and enjoy La Fortuna. The host is very nice and cyclist friendly! Great stop for an economic an easy access to town.

Muy cálida bienvenida de Marco y su hijo. Siempre están listos para servirle. ¡Nos encontramos allí muy bien! pudimos ver un perezoso, una rana roja y azul y una hermosa iguana verde! I arrived one week before the end of the works, but it was already an enjoyable place. The owner Marco and his son Alejandro were really helpful and offered me a discount since the toilet were not finished. WiFi also was not ready, but available from the neighbours. The site is just 10 minutes walk from the center and 3 minutes from the closest bank and supermarket, but will hidden and in the nature.
There are 3 sloths staying in the property, but we weren't able to locate them during my stay.

The campsite, although near the town of Fortuna, is a very quiet place in nature with a small pond, showers, toilets, Wi-Fi.
There are lots of animals like sloths, ducks, alligator snapping turtles, blue jeans frogs, toucans, etc.
There are nice trails all around the site.
Potable water available!
Under construction at the moment but around February 15, 2023 the toilets and Wi-Fi will be functional. But he is ready to welcome you.
Ideal for rv or tents.
