Paid 5000 for 1 month for a bike. Ask for them to issue Suriname insurance policy for free - they can do it there.

Still here. Insurance was 3000GYD/month for our Toyota Land Cruiser. They said Suriname can only be added in Georgtown. We successfully added Suriname later in Georgetown for free (after insisting).

I didn't know when here, so I didn't ask, but it's possible to buy insurance for Surinam too in Guyana (and cheaper than 2 différents policies). if they don't do it here, ask for the other company Insuria.

This is where you purchase the mandatory vehicle insurance for Guyana. You will not be able to import your vehicle without it. The insurance office (Nalico/Nafico) is on the second floor above the bank. It was 4500G$ for a 750cc motorcycle and 3000G$ for a 600cc motorcycle for one week (or two weeks - same price). The French couple in a MAN in front of us was charged 10,000G$. This must be paid in cash and the bank downstairs only accepts VISA cards.
