Description

Good 24-hour parking spot to spend the night after or before visiting Juan (see mechanic icon nearby). It's nothing pretty, but it's a safe place with a surprisingly clean toilet. Just 10k a night. No height restriction.

don't expect much from this place, but it works. The attendants are nice and there is plenty of stores around. tends to be loud as vehicles move in and out, but better than a truck stop. If you come before 6 you might play a game of Hanoi to find a parking spot. Clean toilet. You might be able to ask the owner to use her laundry machine. It's hit or miss and depends on her mood though.

Convenient location for even visiting Bogota, but we stayed here mainly to meet Juan and Laly (look for the nearby mechanic sign on the map)

——

Juan and Laly are incredible. They solved some of our issues that could not be solved for over a year.
We drive an Iveco Turbodaily with original rims that are two piece, therefore tubes are needed. This caused us a lot of issues with 13 flats in 13 months.
We were looking for tubeless rims everywhere before (North America) with no success, but Juan was able to find a set in Bogota in half an hour.
Him and his mechanic Jonathan helped us with other issues as well (radiator, brakes etc) so Juan is your man if you need anything done.
This is his business and he does a great job helping overlanders.
His mechanics, Andenautos is in Bogota.

Good place to spend a few days while visiting Overland Sally. Price is now 12k per night. You can get power and water if needed for a bit more. Quieter on the weekends as some trucks (small) leave quite early. Uber to Bogota was about 40k.

The place to stay if you are visiting Juan and Lali from overland Sally (which of you weren’t planning to, we definitely recommend-check out reviews on mechanic symbol). We parked here on three different occasions and spent a good chunk of time each visit, mostly repairs. The people who run this place are lovely. They’ll make sure you can park right by the toilet if you wish, where an outdoor faucet with potable water is available. You can also connect to power for an extra 5000 pesos a night (making that a total of 1500). Cota is a place you can get everything for a good price- (there’s a Dollar City) and a place where you might want to run those errands - like dentist, hair salon etc. They close the gates to this parking lot at 10pm, but get your taxi to honk his horn after hours and they’ll open up for you.
