Namibia
500 NAD PER SITE for 1 car and 2 people.
Campsite is nice, on sand. Smallish pitches but fine for a car and roof tent. Each pitch has its own braai, electricity and washing line. Facilities are good. Laundrette 60 per wash and 30 for dry. You can book tours etc through them.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Campsites are good for 4x4 with roof tents. Wifi doesn’t work at all by the campsites even though signal range seems to be there. Ablutions are very clean. It’s a camp area in the suburbs.
Report Check-InLovely camping. Very clean toilets and hot showers. Restaurant on site. Friendly and welcoming reception. Secure and gated complex. Security patrols every hour. R500 per couple per vehicle per site.
Report Check-InDifferent sizes of pitches. There are also pitches suitable for big rigs, just request it upon reservation. Communal ablutions very clean and well maintained. Friendly and helpful management.
Report Check-InGated camping. Very nice facility. Clean modern ablutions. Price was N$700 for two people, one camp. You can book Sandwich harbour tours from the reception. Not much to do around the camping or in the city but this campsite was perfect to relaxe for a night on our way from Spitzkoppe to Sossusvlei.
Report Check-InThe campsite looks very nice. Free from wind. Nice and clean ablution. Good wifi. But it is very expensive. The price is now 350nd pppn. We had to pay the pensionadas price of 250pppn, because of waterproblens
Report Check-InNice, safe campground as described before. We payed 500$ for two persons and a mobilhome.
Report Check-InWe wanted to wild camp at the lagoon. but the police came and told us, that it is to dangerous. They guided us to this campsite, which has all the amenities of o good camping.
Report Check-InQuite "luxurius" campsite, just behind lodge and hotel at the same place. Big pitches with either sand or paved. Barbecue and electricity in all places. Good free WIFI. Well protected from constant wind. Clean shared toilets with hot water. 500 ND for 2 People and Camping Car
Report Check-InPrice for camping is now 200 NAD per campsite + 150 NAD ppn. We went to Sunflower Self-catering accomodation which was cheaper for last minute deals (450 NAD per room) and it was excellent!
Report Check-InLast pricing is very wrong :
Pricing is actually:
N$100 for the site,
+
N$150 pppn
recommendable city camping, everything still as described below; prices: laundry and tumble dryer 50 NAD each, camping for two and one car 300 NAD; dogs were quiet during the night
Report Check-InVery convenient urban camping. Excellent facilities (ablutions and laundry). There is just noisy dogs at the neighbour's.
Report Check-InDue to be near Xmas all places have risen their prices. I paid 300NAD for one person one car. The sites are nice although net to each other. Ablutions are very clean and modern. Internet is average. There is a braai and electricity at sites. All in all very good!
Report Check-InVery nice spot! Decided to come here after the wild camping spot at Dune 7 turned out not to be so ideal.
The lady at reception was very friendly, site nice and clean with a clothes line, braai and electricity hook up, sheltered from the wind. The ablutions were very nice and clean. The sites are quite tight so might not be ideal for large rigs. Wifi was decent. 175pp per night.
The campsite is within a large complex, very crowded I didn't like. Not so easy for big rigs. No water tap at each site.
Report Check-InAmazing nice people who work here. Owner is very friendly. Place is clean. I recommend with place.
Cheapest place to sleep in Walvis Bay.
N$ 250 for place to camp. (I don’t know the max of people can sleep in a place. )
Typical city campsite. Really nice ablutions block. Sites are sandy and have pretty good shelter from the wind. OK WiFi. Price $N175 pp.
Report Check-InExpensive, camping in the suburbs, lol. Nice though, wifi works, nice toilets, sand or brick camping spots, braai, etc. Would rather go to Swakopmund
Report Check-InAll as described in earlier posts. Ablutions clean and modern. Price 200 Nam$ pppn.
Report Check-InLike people say below, 175pppn
Pitches are on stone so only rooftents, places are small but you get all you need except for a tap but that is easily found at the clean and nice showerblock. Warm water and little wind when we where there. WiFi was not working but that’s fine. Recommend to do a kayak tour with the sea lions
Camping is 175 N$ pp/pn. The showers and toilets are new and very modern and stylish. The sites are not really big rig friendly but were OK for our Unimog. At the end we did not stay here because in the price of 350 N$ the filling of our water tank was not included ! They wanted to charge us 60 N$ extra to fill 120 L in to our water tank. We find this ridiculous as the price for camping is not cheap and 120 l of water would cost them 1 N$! ( water price about 5 N$ per 1000 l) Very short sighted or you can call it upselling. At the end they lost 350 N$ because they wanted to save 1 N$ and we did not stay. Filling of the water tank in a campervan must of course be included in the price of camping.
Report Check-InMost pitches are paved, few on sand. High windbreakers, still windy and fresh... Very good ablutions. N$ 175pppn. Recommendable!
Report Check-InVery clean and well maintained site, excellent wind shelters. Our dog on leash was Not a problem. 175N$ pp
Report Check-InVery nice and clean place for truckcamper also, new ablution since one year, hot shower, power connector, braai place, dishwashing with not water and a laundrette. Very friendly staff
Report Check-In$150pppn. Large sites with braai and washing lines. Laundry is $30 per token which does one wash (only 15min though) or one dry cycle. It's 3km to the nearest supermarket, so not close to town.
Report Check-InPrices have gone up to 150N$ per person per night.
Clean with excellent wifi, though with each campsite a spot of sand in an otherwise concrete jungle.
The huge group of anglers leaving for a weekend trip at 5.30am had us awake 'nice' and early!
Good wifi
