A local told us motorhomes often park behind the police building. Large, relatively flat area. In one spot there are big ants, so look out for those.
In the yellow building you can find toilets that are open all night. Also tourist information, but they were closed when we were there.

Report Check-InVery good place in town, also for tents. The "yellow" toilet building is now turquoise and still open all night. The water at the tap on the building before the door to the toilet seems to be potable water. At least someone told us so and we also did drink it. There is a nice roofed area to pitch the tent below. Very helpful especially in rainy season. We asked at the building next to the police station and they said it's no problem to camp there. Noone of the passing persons seemed to care at all.
Report Check-InThis place was in the wrong location, unclear where the wild camp near Rio triste is so I changed it to another wild camp in town.
Good place to stay the night.
