Description

A região é silenciosa, tranquila e segura.

We stayed many days in front of the Ankara Hotel and it was very good.

The region is silent, peaceful and safe. Many tour buses are parked there.

Next to the hotel there is a shop with laundry and bathroom for 1 sole; and across the street is the Hotel Selina which sells shower services and a cafe with good internet for working.

In 2 blocks there is a public restroom

We parked a whole week infront of "The Venue Bar and Restaurant". very quiet at night, nit so moisy during the day. Selina has a cowork space with excelente connection and even at the street still having connection so you can use from your Van. Free Bathroom (not so clean)at the gas station infront. public hot baths 4 blocks way (check Selinas, we didnt but in overlander shows hot showers). laundry 2 blocks away for 4 soles kilo. and walking distance from plaza de armas. Really best spot in the town.

Ficamos diversas noites nessa rua.

We stayed on that street for several nights. Very close to the center. Safe with minimarkets and laundromats nearby, as well as hotels and some small restaurants. We also left the van alone for several days, and had no problems. We seem very safe. The stop at the gas station in front of the hotel seems even safer to us.

We sleept here 2 nights.
From Friday to Saturday it was really quit.
From Saturday to Sunday was very very loud music from a techno party with heavy bass until 4:30 am.

Otherwise its a very safe (police, security) place to stay and leave your vehicle.
Maybe its better on weekend to park at the end of the road for better sleeping.

Slept here 1 week. Be aware that you have to park just in front of the hotel or the small store otherwise the man from the gas station will ask you to move and the other shops too. A lot of other iOverlanders.

Recommend. Stayed here for 10 days, the entire end of street had about 8 IOverlanders. Popular and busy spot. Most people leave car to do tourist things, Machu Picchu etc. No problems. Quiet at night. We found a hot electric shower for 5 soles per person about 500m down the road, the owners were lovely ( attached photo ). No bins or toilets.. have to ask shop owners and pay a sole or two. Also, make sure you park a touch closer to the road, not directly on concrete path, otherwise you wake up to taxis/ buses infront of your vehicle and can’t leave.

We spent 4 nights here while exploring the city of Cusco - which was great as we were very close to the center. However, the nights were not always “quiet” - early in the morning the vans of tours came making a lot of noise, because often tourists left there; And from Thursday to Sunday there is music in Selina until 3 am. But we still found a good place to park and spend the night in Cusco.
