Description

Basic place for your stay in Tichitt. Traditional rooms with mats (comfortable!) instead of beds, basic bathroom with shower and toilet (no tap water in town when we visited).
Room is 400, dinner 300, breakfast 70. Homemade hot bread served with every dish!
Lady doesn’t speak any foreign languages, but will call her English speaking brother when in doubt.
We stayed 3 nights. Bring earplugs as the village generator is close. Also bring sleeping bag and mosquito repellent, it’s an oasis :-)
Very good mobile internet connection with Mauritel/Moov. Not so good with Mattel.

Latest Check-Ins

Very nice place and kind hosts.
The prices slightly changed:
The room is now 500, dinner 350 and breakfast 120.
It is still a good deal and a nice accommodation in Tichit. The food is plenty and very tasty!
If you don’t have your own vehicle it’s kind of tricky to get here:
Either you are lucky and you can catch a supply pick up from Tidjika or you have to hire a driver. In any case write/call
Limam (he is the owner of the place but lives in Tidjika): +222 44684410 - he speaks Arabic and French
Or his friend Sherif Hadou: +222 47935850 - he speaks English fluently
One of them will help you to get to this great place!
Don’t forget to register at the local police with your fiche (behind the hospital) after your arrival.
Check out the saline around 2km out of town and the local library
I can recommend that place.
