We were able to send our drone from here to Costa Rica. They’re very friendly and knew that it’s a drone straight away. So it might not be the first one here.
We paid 61$ for shipping.

Of important note (and a great convenience) is that, if you don't have a hotel or anything to ship your drone to in Costa Rica, this place will hold your drone for you while you travel Nicaragua, and then ship it to a DHL in Liberia upon request. You just need to let them know when you're four business days away from being ready to pick it up, and they'll send it then.
Report Check-InVery friendly lady helping us to ship our drone to Costa Rica. The packaging was included and she cut a larger box to the right size.
We paid downstairs in the paint shop with a credit card. We declared the value to 50 USD.
.. and if they are closed you can leave your package next door at pinturas and they are taking care of it at the next available opening hour of the dhl office
Report Check-InVery nice and helpful guy. Go up the stairs to right of paint store. Had to pay cash, credit card network was not working. Very smooth process, he said he gets 1-3 foreigners every day shipping drones around Nicaragua. He said it would arrive to Costa Rica in 3 days.
Report Check-InWorks like a charm, super friendly young guy walks you through the process in basic English. Took us about 20 min with credit card payment downstairs in the paint shop. We chose Cabanas y Fincas Canas Castillas directly behind the border to Costa Rica - asking permission beforehand! Still 61 USD for shipping and gave the value for a used drone body without accessories at 50 USD - let's see what CR customs will say to that.
UPDATE: Import taxes on this incl. all fees were 53 USD, payable online by credit card. parcel will be forwarded to destination afterwards.
ADD: friends of ours shipped it from El Salvador directly to Panama for 40 USD freight and NO import costs.
