Colombia
This camping spot is located right on the walking trail to Las Gachas (30-min walk). It is also walkable to town in the other direction (15-min walk). Both walks can be a bit strenuous because of the hills, depending on your friendliness with the altitude (we’re above 5,000 ft). The camping spot is on stone next to the house. The entrance is low. We are 2.3m and only had a few inches to spare on the sides. Once you get in, there are no height issues. 40,000 COP for two adults and a child. Maintained bathhouse with cold showers. Right by the parking. There is a water spigot. I’m guessing they could run electricity from the house, but we didn’t ask. WiFi is available. The days are filled with squawks from their exotic birds. But the nights are quiet and dark. Incredibly beautiful walk to Las Gachas.

Great place to stay.
They have 2 gates, the smaller one isn‘t that bad - no problem with our 2,45m Van. The other one is bigger, but you can‘t Drive up to the house (a little more walking to toilets)
Level spots for parking, showers, toilets.
The family has 6 blue macaws living in the garden („free“, but the feathers are cut, so they can‘t fly).
15min panoramic walk to Las Gachas.
20k pp/n.
Report Check-InGreat site to access Las Gachas. He set up trejos for us to play and taught us how to play it. Really nice guy and his daughter helps him out. Quiet and safe he has beers and chips as well. The hike to the pools is super easy and quick even with kids. 20k per adult. 10k per kid. Guadalupe is a very cute town.
Report Check-InWe couldn’t fit our truck/camper under the entrance. They have a grass parking lot which you can camp at by the entrance. Price is 20,000 COP per person per night. You still get to use the showers and washrooms. Power and water spigot is also there.
